    For Hutton read Namoichi, Adam, Burke etc etc 

    thats why I’ve never been keen for Barry to return as a coach 

    to answer the OP - the best I’ve seen would be a combo of Ferguson, Van Bronkhorst, Tugay, Reyna, Albertz 

    Greig, Baxter, McMillan??

    Russell, McDonald, Cooper?? 

    Souness, Durranty, Ferguson??

    maybe Aiden will be the exception to the rule but as I said I’d rather develop them ourselves than put them out to the dregs of Scottish football and hope that playing against other lowly teams makes them Rangers class 

    I don’t actually have loads of better alternatives but let’s not pretend this works either 

    Most of the youth players dont make it. But game time (if he gets it) offers him the best chance to improve. Dont forget Ross McCrorie was on loan to Dumbarton this time last year!

    everyone always says “good move” in every thread about a youth getting loaned out but it never actually turns out to be a good move at all 

    I get where you coming from, KAI. It's how much game tjme he gets.that said the loan system worked for Allan McGregoe and Charlie Adam

    Not one player in this picture is in our 'dream team' - there's a very simple reason for that no-one today had the good fortune to ever see any of them play.

    My late Grandfather though raved about David Meiklejohn to anyone who would listen. He went to his grave swearing he was the best Rangers player he ever saw. Many others have said likewise. Other legends include Gray, McPhail, Muirhead and Morton. 

    This was the era that Rangers won 13 championships in 16 seasons!!! They had to be good - very good
