  1. Could be something like this but darker...
  2. There's a Singing Kettle song to made of this thread title, i'm sure of it... "Have you ever seen a zone score a goal!"
  3. Villarreal in the last 16 at ibrox. Before the hamilton game at the start of this season was electric too.
  4. It may well be, but i also beleive there isnt the desire to start many songs becasue they are doing it in the corner constantly. Take that away and you get more impromtue outburts of song from around the staudium. They have their own agenda to be like European Ultras, this doesnt really suit Glasgow in my opinion. If they sang more of our traditional songs i'd be right up for it, but they seem to lead there own agenda, which doesnt seem to be in line with the other 40-something-thousand in the stadium who dont join in.
  5. I cant help but think the atmoshpehere could be livened up without them, as they sing a load of cringeworthy stuff that no-one joins in with.
  6. I was watching highlights on Rangers TV last night of European fixtures from the past, when i was reminded of the old band that used to play during games at Ibrox. Would be great to get this back. Anyone have any ideas why this stopped? Extremely glad that the band stopped playing. They made a racket and horrendous din.
  7. I park at the Albion, they have a lane to right on entry for cash payment. £7 i believe, More details here: https://rangers.co.uk/fans/help-faqs/car-parking/
  8. The mad thing is, if he had received a yellow at the time he would have been banned for this game anyway due to picking up too many yellows. Because they have appealed it is carried over to the following 2 games after this match, Go figure.
  9. Lego is yellow. Fact. The puppets must not allow sporting integrity to get in the way of raaaa undebeaten rhecord.
  10. surely his agent will alert him, for personal reasons, that this is an awful plan....
  11. Where did you get the info mate? Have the games been announced?
  12. We have 2 of the largest followed clubs in Europe. Surely that counts for something. The investment we get v.s. our fan base and support is nothing short of abysmal.
  13. It would make Rangers and Celtic both stronger as teams meaning that each team would be stronger on the European stage. Leading to an eventual improvement in our co-efficient,
  14. I completely get where you are coming from here. But strongly believe that for selfish reasons, the only way we will compete at the levels we once did in past ag is through significant investment from TV money. If this was to happen Rangers would once again become a very invest-able institution and from this we could gain investment that would take us to the next level. Trying to shaft the rest of Scottish Football the way they did to us ins't an option - We are bigger than that.
  15. Is the product of Scottish football not "crap" due to the neglected level of TV funding it perhaps deserves?
  16. Article from the Daily Record - Have included transcript below to avoid the Daily Record getting any undeserved clicks. Not sure if this is suited to the Bears Den, but the deal between sky and scottish football is only going to become more malignant to Rangers as time goes on. EXCLUSIVE: Boycott Sky Sports until they pay a fair price for Scottish football - TV broadcaster Richard Keys Telly broadcaster Richard Keys last night called on armchair fans to boycott Sky Sports and force the satellite giants to pay a fair price for Scottish football. Keys spoke exclusively to Record Sport yesterday after we detailed the enormous gulf in the value of broadcast deals across the European game. Our expose showed how our struggling clubs are having to make ends meet with one of the most paltry TV incomes anywhere on the continent. The former Sky Sports frontman says he was “astounded” by the disparity which sees the SPFL scrape by on millions less than top flights in countries such as Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Greece – never mind the billions being dished out to clubs in England, Germany, Italy, Spain and France. Sky must play fair, says Keys And he blames his old bosses for mounting what he describes as a deliberate attempt to force Scottish football, on to its knees. Keys said: “I wouldn’t advocate people taking to the streets to make their views known but the people of Merseyside deserve enormous credit for the boycott of The Sun newspaper after they were scandalously treated by it post Hillsborough. They simply refused to buy it. Scottish football's pathetic TV deal is bottom of the Euro table “Maybe it’s time the people of Scotland took a similar stand. Maybe they have to send a message to London they’re not prepared to put up with this. What’s the best way to do that? Stop spending 35 quid a month on a Sky subscriptions. “Scottish football is never going to get better unless it has the wherewithal to be able to so. And that requires somebody comes and spends some money on it. “It needs people who are prepared to invest in it and to grow it, not try to take it on the cheap. “It’s wrong Scottish football is at the bottom of the European league never mind the British league when it comes to TV rights. “But what Scottish fans have to do is find a way to make those buying the rights sit up and think.”Keys insists big broadcasters should be prepared to pay the going rate for today’s Scottish top flight, especially now Brendan Rodgers has added some stardust to the set-up at a time when the Old Firm derby is back on the top flight menu after a four-year absence. But the SPFL is locked into a long-standing deal with Sky and BT which runs until 2020. Keys said: “What they are paying for today bears no resemblance to what they were buying four or five years ago because of the Old Firm fixture and also the presence of Rodgers. “He has his critics but Brendan has doubled Celtic’s crowds from 30,000 to 60,000 overnight. He’s creating a team that are making people sit up and take notice by setting records. “Look, Scottish football is not entirely blameless for the mess it got itself into a few years ago. But the Old Firm is back and you have something of value to offer the broadcasters. “There should be a commitment from London for the betterment of Scottish football because everyone in Britain can benefit from a strong game up north. Just look how Liverpool benefited from having Graeme Souness, Kenny Dalglish and Alan Hansen. “There should be a responsibility to help Scottish football because that’s in everyone’s interest. That’s what the broadcasters in London don’t seem to understand.”

  18. Statement by Rangers Chairman Dave King on the decision of the Takeover Appeal Board "The Takeover Appeal Board (TAB) has today ruled that I was acting as a concert party with George Letham, George Taylor and Douglas Park when we acquired shares in RIFC over 2 years ago. The TAB requires that I, as the principal member of that group, must make an offer to acquire all of the shares in RIFC held by the rest of its shareholders at a price of 20p. I do not agree with TAB’s much delayed ruling nor follow its logic and I shall take the appropriate time to reflect upon it and consider the best course of action for myself, RIFC and its shareholders. My view on one individual not being able to exert undue influence on Rangers is already well known. The complaint to the Takeover Panel was made by RIFC’s former Chairman, David Somers, as part of the old Board’s efforts to preserve their positions without regard to what was best for Rangers Football Club, its supporters and shareholders. Today’s decision by TAB is part of the price I have had to pay for being determined to rescue Rangers Football Club from its previous regime and the drastic consequences of their actions. I do so willingly. It is my belief that the TAB has not understood the true nature of what occurred at Rangers and the tremendous role that the activism of supporters played in ensuring regime change. I am only one of a vast number of Rangers supporters and shareholders who fought to rescue our Club. The Rangers Football Club should never have become caught up in a takeover struggle. Those who placed it in that position bear a heavy responsibility. I do not believe that there is any substantial group of RIFC shareholders that would be willing to sell its shares in RIFC at the price at which the TAB has determined I should make an offer. 20p is not a price that I personally believe represents a fair price for RIFC’s shares, nor is it the price at which shares in RIFC are currently trading. I would anticipate that, if I was to proceed with an offer on the terms TAB require, it would be rejected by the overwhelming majority of RIFC’s shareholders and therefore not receive the level of acceptances necessary to proceed. I cannot see how making an offer that is doomed to fail can benefit RIFC’s shareholders. TAB confirms in its decision (para 95) that it understands my position on this point but that the Rule to which they are giving effect “does not include considerations of whether the shareholders will benefit from an offer in a particular case”. I will communicate further in due course."
