Best draw we could of got. defo did not want st Johnston again and beat them in the final

First half was some of the best football of the season. Never took our chances and it cost us. Still seething at Davis for making the wrong pass. Still a point gained over them so will take it as a good weekend but a massive 2 points dropped.

Play our strongest team and try to take +5 off them and build some momentum. mini crisis is forming and it needs to be nipped in the bud now. You see the self belief over the city since they beat a poor team in Europe and a even worse Dundee now they believe they will challenge. Our issue is poor performances and mind set let’s get a commanding win and start building both back up and start our much needed winning run.

You can’t fake the CL we have a team made up mostly of free signings and it showed tonight.

Bottom line is we needed two goals to go through. We had 4 shots on target against 10 men for 45 mins. We got exactly what we deserved. a sore one to say the least but no time to regress into where we were 2 season ago. Roll up the sleeves secure europa league group and ensure that we win the league and go into the group stages of CL next season.

Complete lost the midfield battle and Borna and Tav were stopped from playing. Think it showed the fitness levels showed with them being well into their season. We got what we deserved nothing from the game and were lucky to score with the last kick of the ball. We were out the tie but that goal is absolutely massive and gives us a real chance of progression. 50k behind the team next week will be a massive bonus and should be enough to take us through the tie.

Just win and make sure we put the pressure on them for tonight. I believe us being so defensively sound last year at the start of the season was the catalyst in them feeling the pressure.

Love the football phone in listen to the pod cast every day. The celtic fans that come on and say that there is a glimmer of hope they can still win the league cheer me up when working away.

Do you get a winners medal 🏅 for being part of the squad or is there a certain number of games you must play? I think Larson and Goram never got winner medals when they went to Man Utd as they never played 10 games, could be wrong but kinda remember something like that? What about the new lads Wright and Simpson or the lads that just left in loan. let’s say it is 10 games would defo have qualified? anyone know how the league winner medals are distributed?

Cue meltdown

Apologies for starting I thread on this subject but need some advice about my travel arrangements for tonight’s match. I have just managed to get a ticket for tonight’s game and was wondering if it’s possible to park your car near ibrox? I have called Rangers and they have told me all the stadium parking is sold out . As I am already in Glasgow city centre would I just be better leaving car here and getting a taxi in and out? SG appears to be building a squad capable of playing 60 games a season and that's what his transfer philosophy looks to be based on. Is our squad better? I would say it remains to be seen but on paper then yes. Is our quality of starting 11 better? again remains to be seen but I would say on paper no. Still believe that a couple of more quality signing are required if we are to seriously challenge for the league this season.

Buzzing for this one, just booked club deck hospitality. Fingers crossed we get a good result on Thursday then turn them over at Ibrox.

Aaaaa the weekly slaughter the players thread ❌

Over the course of the past couple of seasons we have roughly managed to spend around 10M on incoming players with not very many leaving without a pay off. I believe this is normally mostly funded by the incoming cash from season tickets sales. This seasons net spend is around 4.5m and with the likely hood of selling Grezda for 1.75M this would bring us down to well under 3M. With comments being made that we were going to increase in quality over quantity this season I was hoping for a couple of 3 -5 M pound signings I key positions that would significantly increase our starting 11. I appreciate that wages wise we have properly secured Aribo, Ojo, and likely Davis. With a decent fee being spent on Helander but still thought we would of pushed the boat out by another 6/7 M completely understand the need for our squad now to have a massive cull and remove a lot of the deadwood but still believe that we could do with at least 1 other star player wither that be Kent or another unknown. So is that the transfer window closed for us? If so are we pleased with the business or are we still that little bit of quality short? I firmly believe that holding onto Tav and Morelos is key to our success this season and am happy that they currently look to be staying but if I ask myself how many players of our players would start in the celtic squad I still can’t help thinking we need an other better quality winger or creative player in the final third. Can’t argue that our squad is better but is it enough to win trophy’s (55) this season because that is what counts. I believe that our success will also come down to how SG manages the squad as it’s certainly good enough to challenge but depends on our ability to find some consistency and to stop dropping needless points against Kilmarnock, Hibs and the likes of Aberdeen. Would certainly feel a little more confident with another creative player being signed.

Was in the same suit for the celtic match two seasons ago and sure we were there for about 10ish. You arrive at the main entrance and go up the marble stair case and then past the trophy room and stuff. The suit is nice and you will get a few pints and breast served before the match. Half time there is no alcohol served but you get tea / coffee etc and some pies. Full time you will get about just over an hour to drink up and one of the squad players normally comes in for some quick questions etc you can also go to the trophy room for a quick visit. all in all it was was a brilliant day, hope you enjoy it.
