We weren't really in the best bargaining position to be fair. Player with 11 months remaining on his contract, doesn't want to be there and the manager doesn't want him - no other clubs interested.

He's not good enough to play for us simple as that. I'm gutted when I see him in the starting line up. He's been going through a spell of bad form for way too long now for it just to be confidence related like people say. He will make someone in English League 1 or lower end of the Championship a decent option but if we are to challenge them to win the league we need a lot better than Waghorn. I've never abused the guy as he does look like he's trying, just not got the ability unfortunately regardless of how hard he tries.

I don't think Pedro really cares that much about green boots, it's about creating an us against them mentality in the players. Last season we had players in green boots laughing and joking with their players walking off the pitch. Our team should be going out onto the pitch full of absolute hatred for them. If you can get even just an extra couple of percent of effort and passion out of a player by getting into his head then across the whole team that can make a big difference.
