  1. Going to be incredible! If I was putting money on it, Max will crash. He’ll either smash into Lewis or he’ll lose the car, simply not calm enough for a title battle like this.
  2. Yes Lewis! Glad to see justice done in the end. Max is a disgrace, he’s been more than happy to crash all race, and in races before. Good to see him finally punished! Go on and win it in Abu Dhabi now Lewis! 🇬🇧
  3. Porteous once again showing he’s a fucking liability. No idea what he’s complaining about as blatant a pen as you’ll ever see.
  4. Porteous is a horrible little cunt. He’ll lose his head at some point and see red before the game is over.
  5. None for me, although I wouldn’t be against Shagger staying on in some sort of coaching role if the wages were no too big. Think having someone with his mentality, who knows the club and has won leagues and cups will be valuable to youngsters and new signings.
  6. We know we’ve got the ability to beat them, but we have to match their mentality. They’ll be full of confidence they can get the result and hoping our will have some nerves after the semi. Hopefully Gio has the squad fired right up to get revenge, if they do I think we’ll win comfortably.
  7. I think he’ll do it aswell. Saudi should suit the merc and if it all comes down to Abu Dhabi Lewis experience will win it. I wouldn’t trust max to handle the pressure, particularly if the two of them are battling for the win. He’ll either make a mistake or do something dangerous to try take Lewis out.
  8. With the money Villa seem to have to spend I can’t see them going for Goldson. Sounds like they’re looking for a CB to go into the starting 11 and let’s be honest he had a decent season last year but he’s not good enough to be a regular starter for an EPL team, especially one that can spend huge amounts to get much higher quality.
  9. Just about to post the same thing. A few games ago under Gerrard we would have been sat back letting them pass that along the back and that goal wouldn’t have happened.
  10. To be honest I’ve just looked up and didn’t realise he started out as a fly weight! Another one who was clearly on the juice, his refusal to allow blood tests before a fight despite it being fine for every other fighter is a case of like Canelo he didn’t even try to hide it.
  11. Depends how much ‘Mexican beef’ he eats… Has anyone in the history of boxing ever started out at Welterweight and gone up to cruiser? At least at a high level? I can’t believe more questions don’t get asked.
  12. Big well done to the board for getting this done so quickly. Now let’s hope he’s the man to kick start our season and on to 56! Exciting times!
  13. Max went so wide he couldn’t even keep his car on the track! How anyone can say he didn’t run Lewis off the road to maintain an advantage is incredible!
  14. Great race, sensational drive from Lewis! Max is a dirty bastard and how he got away with that is beyond me. Great driver, but he’s immature and petulant, could easily cost him in the last few races when the pressure is on.
  15. Lewis clearly has great pace this weekend, but he’s got to come from 10th and win it. Unless Max does something stupid he’ll get past Bottas, he wins and he can afford to come second in the remaining 3 races and still be champion. I’m a Lewis fan, want him to win but I think now it’s pretty much done. Hope I’m wrong. Still looking forward to the race today though, should be a great watch.
  16. Lewis taking a 5 place grid penalty for tomorrow for another engine change. Pretty much confirms Max as world champion.
  17. It’s a huge risk he’s took and one I don’t really understand. He stays here, manages in European competition of some form every season, wins a few trophy’s and league titles and with his status in Liverpool he’s guaranteed the job when Klopp goes. Fail in the prem at a club like Villa and get sacked/ relegated and the Liverpool job is gone, simple as that. Makes me wonder if there was something else he wasn’t happy about with us? Possibly the time away from his family or could it be he wanted more backing in the summer? I don’t believe he’s left due to money for the simple fact he doesn’t need it and wasn’t exactly on minimum wage with us, and it’s such a risky career move when you consider what we all know is his ultimate aim I can’t help what wonder what’s pushed him into this decision.
  18. Can’t be arsed reading all the pages I’ve missed but just came to say my feelings. First of all good luck to him, 55 was one of the best days of my life and after achieving that I will always be greatful to Gerrard and his management team. He also brought back standards and a winning mentality that this great club has been built on but for the dark years had forgotten, I thank him for that. However outside of some good European performances and 55 he hardly set the world alight. He failed to win any other trophy despite some golden chances. He had a total inability to change a game with tactical decisions or substitutions. His 433 was stale this season with no plan b. He had us playing 3 defensive midfielders and no idea what to do when things don’t go our way other than hitting aimless crosses into a box packed with defenders and 1 or 2 at the most blue shirts while everyone else held back outside. This season we’re top simply because the taigs are hopeless and even then since we won the OF they’ve picked up more points than us. Lose in the semi and against Sparta and Gerrard would have been under serious pressure anyway, if they had got within a point of us I’ve no doubt there would have been plenty calling for his head. A new manager could be a badly needed spark at a time of the season we desperately need it. We have the players, but all season something just hasn’t clicked. Time for the board to show they’re up to the job, move quickly to get the right man and get us firing again as we know we can. Thanks for the memories Stevie and good luck at Villa however now his time is behind us, and we have every reason to look at the future with positivity.
  19. It could, and I stress could, if the board and Wilson are doing their jobs and planning for this scenario be the best thing for us. People talk about the timing of Gerrard deciding to leave but on the other hand at an early stage of a season where we haven’t been anywhere near the levels we know we can be, be the best possible timing. All depends on the competency of the people at the top making decisions however.
  20. Been out for the evening and got back to look at the last couple of pages of this thread because I cba going back for ages. Russell Martin… please tell me this some sort of bad joke.
  21. Was just going to post nearly exactly this myself. As long as the board are actually doing their jobs, have planned for this scenario and can swiftly appoint a replacement I don’t think this is terrible news at all, and might be the kick start our season needs.
  22. Great attitude, need a few more in the squad to have the same mentality.
