  1. The manner of the turnaround is hugely impressive. He's now taken more points than murty and they have both been in charge over the same period of time. What he has shown is he can get the absolute best out of his players. We are going to need a manager able to do this. The budget isn't there to outspend them. I think we have potential in this squad. We just need the right manager to get it out of them on a consistent basis. Clarke has shown he can do that with a smaller budget and arguably weaker squad.
  2. King promised transparency but it's just one of many failed promises. Actions speak louder than words. Kings board have shown they have no idea how to recruit a manager for the club. If Mark Allen doesn't have say on our next recruitment what is the point of the DOF. If king and co don't have the ability to take the club forward they should sell up. I have a feeling once this share issue is complete and king has got his lost millions back. He's planning on moving on.
  3. We are far too predictable. It's like being under Warburton again. Opposition managers know what we are going to do before a ball is even kicked at Ibrox. Its easy to plan against us. We can't seem to breakdown teams who throw men behind the ball. I get that the options from the bench aren't great. But sticking with the same 11 when it's clearly not working isn't going to help much either.
  4. Pearson is a good shout. No nonsense manager who would strike a bit of fear into the dressing room.
  5. We can only enquire and see if he's interested. He may do a mciness and say no due to being comfortable. If that's the case we look elsewhere. But from what I've read Clarke and Brenda had a bitter fall out when he took charge of Liverpool. I think Clarke might just be up for the chance to get one over him and stop 10.
  6. From what I've seen it is an experienced manager people want not proven. I think murty has done a solid job since Pedro was sacked. But he's now over seen 5 of our 7 loses at home. 2 of which were teams bottom of the table. Our worst home record since 1914. He's also not learning from mistakes. How many games have we seen now where he waits far too long to make changes when it's going against us. I honestly don't think we will ever challange under murty if we stick.
  7. If the board keep him in charge next season. It's the final admission they have neither the funds or the ambition to take us back to the top.
  8. He's beat us twice. He's also got a better record against celtic than our last 3 managers combined. His turnaround with killie has been hugely impressive. 5 months they've went from bottom to 5th. We are not getting a proven manager with a history of winning trophies. Clarke ticks the boxes for me. Experienced, eye for a player, able to get results in Scotland and tactically capable. What alternatives do you suggest who is proven?
  9. It would be madness not to at least make an approach. If he says no then so be it. We move onto other targets. My worry is our board. It would not surprise me to find they haven't even begun considering possible managers. I still feel they are praying murty can develop into a decent manager.
  10. I've seen a few saying he's a one season wonder. We only need 1 season to stop 10. Right now he's the in-form manager in the league. What has also impressed me with Clarke is the turn around in boyd. He's the leagues top scorer under clarke. He ticks all the boxes and the board would be mad not to approach him.
  11. It isn't that he just played well against us. He's been doing it consistently in the league. He's one of the best midfielders in the league at the moment. He also bossed the midfield vs them. Something or midfield couldn't do even with an extra man.
  12. He set a club record for premier league wins at West Brom. He took reading to an fa cup semi final their first in 88 years. He was only an assistant at Aston villa under Di Matteo. I agree Clarke would be a risk but no more that any other manager coming in. Unfortunately while we debate this. I have zero confidnce in our board. I wouldn't be surprised to see murty in charge again next season
  13. Stats can be misleading. On paper yeah McLaren has a stronger CV. His trophies were 2004 and 2010 but. He has the worst international record of any England manager. Also look at the recent form. McLaren relegated Newcastle and has been sacked twice by derby. Could he come up north and rebuild his reputation sure but can we take that risk with them so close to 10. I get your not Clarke biggest fan. But I'm looking at guy whos shown he can get results in our league. 1-2 seasons with our resources he could have won more that McLaren.
  14. Yeah no chance in hell. He seems to be untouchable. Gets away with everything
  15. Pedro should have been sacked right after the 5-1. And anyone involved in his appointment should have walked too. It's clear but we are going no where under the current board. The issue is we don't have anyone else looking to take over. Fan ownership might be the only solution.
  16. Seen it on twitter. What a joke. Even walker is calling Brown's reaction pathetic. Let's see if any action is taken after the game. But I highly doubt it.
  17. I also don't have much faith in this board either. It would not surprise me to see them keep murty into next season due to an inability to get a quality replacement.
  18. We had a chance to get him after Pedro. But the board went for Mciness instead. I don't know if the guy would give our board the time after that.
  19. He asked to be giving an early release from his contract. Brugge agreed but inserted a clause that they would still be due compensation if he was approached by another club.
  20. I think it shows but that if our board really wanted preudhomme they could have paid the 2m.
  21. Preudhomme CV is very impressive and he's got a record of turning clubs around into champions. We had a chance to get him after Pedro was sacked but the board didn't take it. He put out a statement saying he was interested in the job. But our board instead went for Mciness.
  22. Aberdeen were wanting 1 million for Mciness. I can't imagine many wanted to pay that for him.
  23. Preudhomme CV is really impressive. He had a record of taking struggling clubs and turning them round. He would have been a good shout after pedro. But the board messed this one up. He said he was interested in the job. But king and co after several weeks went for big game bottler mciness. I can't imagine the guy will still be interested after being knocked back.
