  1. As others have pointed out, our lack of quality up front is a completely different conversation to the ref deciding to ignore 2 straightforward second yellow = red scenarios that should have seen us playing 9 men for the last half hour The ref had a howler missing ignoring these
  2. Both straightforward second yellows Is anyone surprised they weren't given?
  3. Shakthar to beat Marseille and set up a mega sash bash in Hamburg please
  4. Easy target for the "get him to fuck" brigade. Trying to keep your confidence as a Rangers player can be a difficult task and mores if you're a fringe player. Hopefully the fans will listen to PC, back the players even when they take a chance and it doesn't come off and encourage them to go again. Wright is one of the few who has always been willing to take people on and drive at a defence. Needs to work on his final ball and decision making - both can be coached and I think (hope) he will thrive under PC and become a valuable part of the squad
  5. its incredible to think he's only been here 18 days genuinely feel he's been here for months
  6. I'm sure he said they meet in Subway in Helensburgh?? There's bigger phone boxes
  7. Tbf he's an assistant cheat - but highly effective and good for a few points a season
  8. In times of need they'll turn to their usual go to, reliable players they can depend on Clancy - ready Collum - ready Robertson - ready Walsh - ready They never let them down
  9. The new year derby conveniently found it way into February when they started 7 players who would have missed the original
  10. Postponement and International Selection G7 A Club shall be entitled to apply to the Board for the postponement of any Official Match where three or more of its Players who would otherwise have participated in such match are unavailable through international selection and, following receipt of such an application, the Board may postpone and rearrange the relevant Official Match in accordance with Rule G3
  11. Possibly but I'm sure I read that they will be allowed to join the squad later, missing their warm up friendly with Thailand on Hogmanay to allow them to play in the Old Firm There's likely to be another warm up friendly before the first Asian Cup game and I'm sure it said they're expected to join the squad after the OF. Time will tell Hetate, Maeda and the Japanese Tom Daly are crucial for them so they will definitely look to get their games postponed on the three player rule. Hetate's hamstring is a bad one apparently (he'll be playing on Wednesday then) and if true he might not make it. The 2 Koreans aren't certain to make their squad (unlikely due to lack of minutes) so they might only have 2 away which would probably lead to a temporary SPFL rule change or a re-vamped fixture list for all teams - whatever suits that lot will be accommodated somehow
  12. There's 4 games potentially effected depending on how far Japan go (they'll be one of the favourites) Interestingly the first one, St Mirren away before the break, is live on Sky so they might struggle to get that postponed due to 3+ players being away The other 3 games are Ross C (H) and Hibs and the sheep away I'd be very surprised in they didn't try to get games postponed. If we beat Hearts in the cup they'll have played 2 games more than us before the break which gives them breathing space for postponements
  13. The forwards, particularly Roofe, were going nuts gesturing to the midfield to push up in the OF game. Infuriating and bizarre tactics. A press needs to be a team tactic
  14. I need to watch the game in Ayr this Saturday ideally as close as possible to the Town Hall Anybody got any recommends
  15. There's virtually zero chance the board will shoot him after 4 league games, and rightly so. He'll get to January as a bare minimum, and rightly so By then we could have won the first trophy of the season, topped our EL group and sitting in the last 16 and be top of the league in which case most will be backing him, and rightly so If we blow the LC, fail to qualify from our group and fall further behind the tarriers he'll be unlikely to survive, and rightly so
  16. Great point that Whenever they get knocked out of a cup or lose in the league we should do the honourable thing and withdraw from the competition - just like they did over the past 12 years This place has gone stir crazy
  17. Of course it matters ffs It's a 3 point and +2 goal advantage they shouldn't have If we end the season 3 points and a goal behind or closer then it will cost us 56 and automatic entry to the most lucrative CL ever. Matters fuck all though?
  18. Why the fuck we, or any other team for that matter, question a decision that went for us?? Do you expect the tarriers to be writing to the SFA today seeking clarification on why Desser's goal was chalked off and Cantwell never got a penalty? When Des Roach and Dermott Gallacher are calling it out and Lennon, Sutton and Hartson are saying they got away with one that tells the story. The fact that there's so many different views and most are saying the goal should have stood proves that it was NEVER a clear and obvious mistake
  19. He was trying to kick the ball and kicked Dessers instead He was never ever trying to plant his foot
  20. True and it does my head in For the Cantwell penalty we did nothing to influence the situation they would have been all over the ref, sowing the seed with the VAR officials and grabbing the ball to prepare for a penalty while the player gets treatment.
  21. I'm not, I'm agreeing we're miles off it Lets not disguise the fact that we were on the end of another huge call behind not playing well
  22. They're two completely different point mate If we play badly (we did today) and someone chops our player down in the last minute, we don't say "don't bother with the penalty ref, we've been shit today" Bad decisions are bad decisions Bad performances are bad performances Two different things
