  1. They're two completely different point mate If we play badly (we did today) and someone chops our player down in the last minute, we don't say "don't bother with the penalty ref, we've been shit today" Bad decisions are bad decisions Bad performances are bad performances Two different things
  2. Des Roach is an ex ref who disagrees (he's also a rabid tarrier) Madden (apparently a Rangers man) thinks it's a foul technically That's 2 refs, 2 different opinions I just don't see how anyone can call it "a clear and obvious mistake" That the same VAR official decided not to have a view when Maeda clattered Cantwell and was nowhere near the ball further irks - especially when it was more clear and obvious
  3. I'm not papering over cracks, I'm stating we were on the end of the howling call- again It may cost us £10s millions and a league title. You might be cool with that, I'm not The rest of your post is valid and I agree
  4. VAR clearly cost us Can't argue with the rest of your points right enough
  5. That's stiff upper lip, take it up the arse bollocks If VAR had given that against the scum the Scottish Parliament would be in emergency recall and phone-ins would be on 24/7 for the next 3 weeks If we lose the league by 2 points or less that decision is worth £10s of millions
  6. There was way more in it than Desser's "foul" tbf. And a lot more "clear and obvious" too On Desser's "foul" - when Des Roach is on Rangers side it tells a story. I can't recall him ever backing us before https://Copy & Paste This Shite..../sport/football/football-news/former-ref-blasts-var-Rangers-30853686
  7. 9 games in 29 days including 4 CL qualifiers and an OF was always going to be a challenging month Bedding in 8/9 new players and trying to gel them added to that The number of fans who have written off most of our new guys after 8 games is mental The window's closed now, the manager isn't getting sacked and the best thing we can do is back what we have and support them 100% Let's get into these bastards tomorrow
  8. Highly unlikely Zagreb are 3-1 up going to Sparta Prague and Ajax won 4-1 away to Ludogarets If both go through we would be pot 2
  9. 11 new signings since January with 1 or 2 more likely 4/5 guys coming back having missed most of last season You'll give him the next couple of games Thank fuck you're not making decisions
  10. Lammers was the first of the new guys to show early promise in the pre-season games and then fell off a cliff when the season started. The pace and physicality of the Scottish game takes time to adjust to and deal with. If you can get over this hurdle (some can't) then quality will shine through - but first you need to adapt to the environment. Sima, I thought, had his best minutes for us on Saturday and Matondo looks like a different player to the one that struggled last season. These two are both only 22yo and have a major asset - pace. Like many wingers another key requirement is confidence and if they find that then we could have a couple of standouts on our hands Dessers and Danilo have shown small flashes but not nearly enough so far. They have the talent if they can settle and adapt. On top of the 9 new guys, Raskin and Cantwell guys like Souttar, Lawrence, Matondo, Roofe and even Ridvan are pretty much new signings too in the context of last season v this. Only Tav, Goldson, Borna, Lundstram and Jack have good experience of playing for Rangers with Wright and Davies well out of the picture and hopefully offloaded this week which would mean one or possibly two more new guys to settle in. This re-build has been massive and really needs the one thing a Rangers manager doesn't get - time For me beating the tarriers this week is bigger than the PSV outcome (I understand the money 100%) as winning the league this season is a must for me
  11. To be fair Sterling was injured in pre-season I don't think Beale sees him as 1 of a back 3 though, he's put Lundstram back most of the time he's gone to a 3
  12. Unless Lundstram leaves he'll be in the squad If he leaves he'll be replaced and his replacement will be in the squad The same scenario applies to Davies, Borna and Ridvan I'd think
  13. He's as likely as you or I to be in the Euro squad
  14. He joined Brentford for under £5m
  15. He's played 330 minutes ffs Goram, Hately, Ricksen and McCoist wouldn't have survived your expert eye for a player And you think a manager giving players a chance to bed in is bizarre?
  16. Bruges v Ossasuna Possibly the hardest tie they could have drawn
  17. Borna will stick him in his back pocket
  18. He does this regularly without punishment. His other party piece is the knee through the back and he gets away with it every time
  19. How can the tarriers benefit from a Rangers player's loan?
  20. Al-Hilal have already qualified along with Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan) There's another 2 Asian slots up for grabs The winner if this season's Asian Champions League - decent chance it could be a Saudi team given this summer's spending Best 4 year ranking club - no idea how that looks tbh
  21. In principal it is but it needs to be properly used. Our refs spend an entire match turning their back on keepers taking 30-40 secs to take numerous goal kicks and killing several minutes and cunts doing the same with throw ins. Then in the last 5 minutes if it's tight and they decide to throw everyone up they start waving yellows at our keeper/players for stalling 10 secs They specifically mention goal celebrations which I agree with One of my biggest bug bears is penalties and the nonsense that goes on. It's so easy to rectify - after a penalty is awarded allow 10/20sec and anyone bar the keeper (ON HIS LINE) and taker are the only 2 allowed in the box. Anyone else gets booked. Also anyone interfering with the spot - red card Personally I think there should be a timekeeper who ends the game and avoids the ref playing on and on if certain teams are on the attack
  22. I simply went with the best 2 from the 10 (imo) - the risk in that would be opting for 2 players who have just missed almost an entire season Beale really likes Roofe and he also seems to rate Lundstram so maybe Lawrence misses out? Could make a case for Sakala and Balogun but I 'd struggle to make a case for Hagi, McLaughlin, Yfeko, Kamara or Matondo
  23. Yes defiantly looks like that way. from Uefa... In List A, no club can have more than 25 players. However, a club can register an unlimited number of players on List B, who are born on or after January 1, 2001. Moreover, since his 15th birthday, he must have played for the club for an uninterrupted period of two years, or a total of three consecutive years. He can have a maximum of one loan period to a club from the same association for a period not longer than one year.
  24. Can't remember where I read it, but it would certainly make sense It would take a lot of bad luck with injuries for either to feature but you only need to look at King last year
