  1. Those players would have been on the field of play He was off the field and less than 2m away
  2. He was less than 2m from the thrower AND off the park On both counts the throw should have been re-taken
  3. This Sportscene showed an angle that was much clearer than the one on here and it was pretty conclusive that he was just offside - even Michael Stewart agreed it was a correct call. How VAR never picked up on the throw in incident I'll never understand. First 2 points gained from ref error for them this season and VAR should have rectified it Add Collum's wee mistake at Easter Rd and that's 2 we lost 4 points might mean a lot in May. But still masons cheating, obscure camera angles, well oiled media lackie machine and a manager who doesn't talk about officials - except after every game since VAR They know how to apply pressure
  4. Agree on Helander 100% A fit Jack, Roofe, Hagi would make a difference as would a fit Yilmaz Tav getting a break should make a difference as would Morelos getting fully fit With all of that I'd expect a stronger starting line up and bench
  5. You reckon King, Sands, Tillman and Matondo all start if Goldson, Helander, Jack, Lawrence, Hagi, Sakala and Roofe are all fit? You genuinely don't believe we have been badly affected by injuries to key players and having everyone fit won't improve both our starting 11 and our bench? I'd prefer a change of manager but to dismiss the injuries as board propaganda is baffling
  6. It can be if you asset strip Green and his gang proved that Give me our current investors all day every day
  7. You've danced a few waltzes, some pretty bizarre stuff tbh My original point was simply to point out that the idea that Ryan Porteous was miles ahead of Leon King at the same age was complete and utter bollocks King has been flung in before he would have been - universally agreed He's not ready - no-one has said he is as far as I can see Many/most highly rated youngsters don't fulfil their potential - as true today as it's always been Ryan Porteous was miles ahead of Leon King at the same age - still complete bollocks
  8. They definitely have weaknesses and often ride their luck They have a manager who plays the right game for the SPFL - attacking, high tempo from start to finish. We have a manager who plays slow, predictable, tedious football with short bursts of high tempo, attacking play We have the players to comfortable win most games in the SPFL, what we need is a manager who can coach and motivate them and things could turn very quickly The Aussie cunt had a free hit last season as there was very little expectation on him/them. He's shown already this season that he doesn't like criticism and looks uncomfortable under pressure. It's not too late to get key players back and go on a run and put the cunts under pressure but, imo, that will only be possible with a change of manager
  9. I'm not splitting hairs, I'm drawing a direct comparison when they were 18 turning 19 which is what you believed you were doing when you said Porteous was "miles ahead at the same age" That's clearly bollocks I think the plan for King this season would have been to play League Cup and Scottish Cup early rounds and bleed him into league games when opportunities arose playing beside Goldson or Davies who could talk him through the game and help him develop I doubt the plan was to throw him into CL group stage games, in one of the toughest groups, against some of Europe's top attackers who regularly make experienced international defenders look "average at best", beside different partners who he hadn't played alongside and expect him to look "above average" It's extremely rare for a very young CB to become a mainstay in a team expected to win every week and compete in Europe, CB being a position where experience is often crucial so I don't expect him to stay in the side when/if Souttar, Goldson, Davies, Helander are all fit. The last few weeks have been unprecedented in terms of injuries and I'd like to think he will be taken out and protected at the earliest opportunity Long term he is very highly rated by many in the game and has every opportunity to forge a successful career. He also appears to have a great attitude and temperament so I'm hopeful he will push on, I'll not write him off just yet
  10. King's still 18, he'll be 19 in January The season that Porteous was 18 (19 in March) by this point of the season he had played 1 challenge cup v Elgin 3 League cup v Montrose, Arbroath and Ayr U 85 minutes across 3 SPFL games He then didn't play again until the end of Jan (10 mins v Motherwell) and 2 full games v us and Kilmarnock in Feb That was his total for the season at the same age as King is now I don't know how many of these games you attended (wouldn't imagine many were on tv) but you stated that he was miles ahead of King at the same age I was simply pointing out that this was bollocks and I'd guess, other than possibly v us, you almost certainly had never seen him play
  11. That's bollocks mate Hibs "kid" Porteous will be 24 in March and has spent much of his career undermining his own talent by acting like a bellend thug (on and off the pitch) and thus being a liability He's only just starting to show signs he may be able to concentrate on his game but still gets involved in diving/cheating and reckless challenges most weeks. An infuriating cunt who lacks discipline and professionalism if your his manager At the same age as Leon King (18 turning 19) he made 10 appearances - 6 league (3 starts) 1 Challenge Cup and 3 League Cup group for Hibs Leon has played 18 already including 6 CL and 9 SPFL How you can deduce that Porteous was miles ahead of King at the same age from that is mystifying
  12. You could be correct (you could be speaking from a position of knowledge?) but personally I'd be surprised if sizeable amounts of loans have been repaid. 3 key issues I'd love clarity on but doubt the accounts will be truly revealing on 1. How much did we have to pay Ashley and is he now paid off? I very much doubt he's taken his last pound of flesh tbh 2. How much over budget has Edmiston House gone? The work appeared to stop at the start of the year and then re-start at pace 3. The detail of our UEFA FFP restrictions, I get the feeling they are quite restrictive and see us needing to sell to buy or lose wages to add wages For this reason I don't think we were able to invest in the squad even if we wanted to and I think any excess monies were swallowed up by Ashley, NEH etc rather than paying back loans although I could be completely wrong None of the Aribo or Bassey money will be included in the 30th June period but we should get a post balance sheet update that might shed some light on what the future holds
  13. From the Jun 21 accounts The Club carried out further share issues during the year, converting £26.1m of shareholder loans to equity and further strengthening the Balance Sheet. The open share issue available to fans and investors in July 2021 will fall into the next set of results. We'd be absolutely fucked without the £10s millions the investors have stumped up Snakes though
  14. Correct. The "snakes" have converted £10s millions of their personal cash to equity - without them God knows where we would be. The competency of our exec board is entirely another matter
  15. The abuse directed at Bassey after the cup loss at St Mirren was mental. He gave away a naive penalty and some were saying he should never play again 18 months later we sold him for £19m rising to £23m with add ons Alan Hutton was nearly booed out of Ibrox before he settled and earned us £9m Young players need support and encouragement - some of the vitriol aimed at Tillman is embarrassing. As Lundstram points out he is a real talent and needs support not abuse
  16. Both Doig and Ferguson went to Italy for £3m. You can be absolutely certain that neither the sheep nor Hibs would have sold them to us for the same as they 1) hate us and 2) know the situation with the association trained market We had 3 association trained (Jack, Arfield and Wright) so only really had room for 1 more. Given his injury record I'd doubt Souttar will be on a fortune, tops £8k so a 4 year deal including wages will amount to £1.6m with nothing up front to affect our UEFA FFP numbers. When we signed him he had missed 2 games with a knock all season and was in the Scotland squad and I personally thought it was a clever bit of business. The week after he signed a pre-contract he got injured and has played about 5 times since. He's a good player when fit and might still come good if we get lucky. For Doig or Ferguson we'd have been £4m+ fee and £10k a week (they'll be on that in Italy) meaning £6m over a 4 year deal. The issue is that neither would be starters if everyone is fit and therefor they didn't represent value imo. There's not many association trained players playing in Scotland that catch the eye, represent value etc. Barrie MacKay was available on a fee last Jan and might have been worth a gamble - for me he's better than Wright
  17. Make or break for an 18 year old playing alongside a 22 year old CDM at CL level?? He's an excellent prospect who wouldn't be playing at all if Goldson, Hellander, Souttar and Davies weren't all injured, far less being thrown in next to an inexperienced player playing out of position. He needs support and encouragement, not thrown to the wolves He's levels above McCrorie
  18. Agreed, he’s a pest because he chases crisp wrappers and anything else that moves but is an extremely limited footballer hatate can spray a pass and can shoot but struggles beyond an hour (apparently a heavy smoker) and doesn’t like getting tackled the diving cheat had a purple patch at the start - his career stats are pretty poor. I’d rather face him than the Greek cunt
  19. I'm perfectly clear minded, have never been personally Insulted by anything you've said (even the part about them winning the league most years), disagree with you on this, have explained why and yes I genuinely interpret some of your assertions as praise as opposed to alluding to a failing on our part. You say I'm raging (I'm really not), making stuff up (that'll be my honest assessment of your views I take it), not clear minded (I'm fine, trust me) and claim you don't take issue with my opinions? Anyway here's hoping my hunches are right and yours are wrong and we come good and push on to win the league
  20. It's genuinely the worst I can recall in my 46 years as a ST holder Add Tav who looks like he's carrying an injury, Lowry who I had huge hopes for and Alfredo who has been in a catch 22 needing game time to get sharp but Colak deservedly keeping him on the bench (not helped by his own shite attitude at the start of the season btw) To be just 4 points behind (2 if it wasn't for Father Collum) despite our injuries and despite key players not reaching their best form is actually a bit mad There's a long, long way to go and there's a lot of scope for improvement
  21. I'm definitely not raging KJ, I just have a difference of opinion to you and detailed why. You believe they will win the league (most years in one post), your pretty wholesome in your praise of them (imo) I believe they benefitted from a few wrong decisions last season whereas the opposite was true for us. Late winners are part of the game so no complaints on that front If we were 4 points behind going into the split with a home OF to go I'd not be conceding anything so being 4 behind with 26 games to play including 3 OFs and having barely found any form as yet and suffered the worst injury pile up I can remember , for me, I prefer to believe we can find form and win the league. You fancy them, I fancy us - each to their own as I said
  22. You brought up last season when you said they'd lost once in a calendar year to emphasise how great they are. You've done it again in this post telling me how wonderful they've been since 55 with their big game changers who are hungrier - not that you're bigging them up or anything mind you They might well drop points here and there but it'll be meaningless dropped points from our point of view unless we somehow drop less than them and/or beat them 2/3 times remaining and drawing the other one, at least. - Yep, I know how leagues work thanks. We've been out of form but we're only 4 points behind (would be 2 points but for Father Collum) Both teams are capable of winning most games (even this season backs this up) I happen to believe that we can turn the corner, see key players find form, get other key players back from injury and go on a league winning run - you appear to think the otherwise, each to their own
  23. They dropped points to the "dross" on 5 other occasions between the defeat at Livingston and the end of the season, you're saying they'll not drop any. They absolutely will, as will we, there's a long way to go and they're not world beaters despite what some on here seem to believe. If we play on the front foot like we did yesterday we'll not be far away
