He was stayin in the hotel I work in about a year ago. Espanyol stayed for the UEFA cup final. Met the whole Panathinaikos team last year as well n Man Utd were in when they played the tims last year. Forgot to put Rooney and Evra on the list too. Got a half decent collection of autographs now.

My sister and her mates was staying in loch lomond and met most of the Scotland national team the day before the italy match last year (mcleish, hutton, ferguson, boyd, gordon, hartley, mcfadden etc)

my mum met kenny miller as well on buchanan street one time.

This thread reminds me of the time me and the other coaches at my local team took some of the lads through to Murray Park. It was weeks before the World Cup 2006, just after the end of the season I think. As one of the coaches of the U11's, we took them round with the tour guide. We got just to the corridor where John Greig's office when Hamed Namouchi walks by. He got stopped by the tour guide who promptly asked if any of the lads knew who he was.

One of the wee lads pops up confidently and says "It's Marvin Andrews!". Namouchi just laughed and walked off, saw the funny side of it.

Not really a famous player but just a funny story I thought I'd share. I could have died with shame when it happened though!

I think the one which will always stick out in my mind was meeting Rino before he became a superstar. Met him along with Negri.

So did I!! It was after a match at Ibrox though and i just got their autographs so its not as if i properly met them!! I was only about 10 at time, i was so dam excited!

met loads of Rangers and Scotland players over the years.

Most famous foreign ones would be Maradona (at a book signing) Zidane, Raul, Casillas, Di Stefano, Figo (basically everyone who was over with Real Madrid for the CL final at Hampden) Roberto Baggio (twice) and Wesley Sneijder (friend of a friend and met him a few times when he was at Ajax)

my burd used to go out with Andres Iniesta when he was at La Masia. Daft biatch dumped him :D
