RFC24 0
Why do they make it in the middle of January anyway? Its ridiculous Why not have it in the summer the year after the European Championships etc especially when most of Africas players are now playing in Europe. It is being played when a lot of european leagues are on their winter break. Although your idea of playing the African Nations Cup at the same time as the World Cup is an interesting idea. Why the hell do they play it every year anyway, they should adopt our good European values of playing it every two years. :pierre:

Poetry_In_Blue 1,043
The national team can call up their players two weeks before the start of any recognized tournament as is the African Nations Cup. As for Bougherra saying he will definitely be playing against Celtic, well, in all honesty if he is called up and refuses to go then FIFA can prevent him from playing for us, if the club do play him after he's been called up then we can be done for it, and if it's any game we win we would probably be awarded a defeat and the opposing team given an automatic win.
