my step brother bought an iphone off the internet and tried to download the latest itunes which seems to have locked the phone as its from america and he was told there isnt unlocking software availble for it yet surley bullshit ? anywhere in glasgow that unlocks them ? cheers if you help

theres nothing available to unlock iphone currently running the 3.1.3 software

will be in time id imagine but nothing yet as far as im aware

Unlock from provider ie O2 or Jailbreak to run additional Apps etc ?

What iphone did he buy 3g or the 3gs (says on the back)

On the box the vbarcode has a number on it looking like a dat say it 102009 or 1009 it wont be able to be unlocked any time soon.

Any date before that you should get it working with a custom firmware from this site http://www.iclarified.com/tutorials/iphone/index.php

When downloading the custom firmware use firefox as ie downloads it as a mangled junk.
