Fabregas Scores With Broken Leg

Recommended Posts

Could you imagine a Barca midfield of Xavi, Fabregas and Iniesta?!

I couldn't see that working against anyone powerful.

They need a Keita or Toure in there, and Fabregas isn't as good as Iniesta or Xavi.

IMO :)

Iniesta could play on the left of the front 3.

I think you have to remeber that midfielders tend to reach their peak in their mid to late 20's.

I think saying Fabregas will never be as good as Xavi is a bit unfair. Xavi is on a different planet at this point in time but Fabregas is 8 years younger!

Was Xavi as good as he is now when he was 22? I don't think so.

IMO Fabregas will be the long-term replacement to Xavi for Barca and Spain.

I'm not neccessarily saying Fab will become as good as Xavi or Iniesta but too write him off based on current performance is a bit naive. He's only going to get better, especially if does move to Barcelona.

Also, just noticed Cesc has 47 Spain caps at the age of 22!

That's a great achievment considering the competition they have in midfield.

Yeah.

The guy is a phenomenon. I knew the moment i saw him for Arsenal, he was going to be great one day. He will probably go on to captain Spain one day.

Iniesta has played there and has been nowhere near as effective.

He needs to play deeper in order for him to work his magic.
