James Millner

Without being biased but I honestly believe Steve Davis is a better player than him.

James Milner's workrate makes him out to be better than what he is. No more than an average player.

I'd welcome him to Ibrox anyday in an ideal world, but as someone has already said, it just shows how much money English football has to waste.

Wonder when this will ever kick them in the arse.

amazing how players can command such fees, what has he really done? hes played a few decent games, and hes not a fantastic player, a few years ago only world cup winners and players top of the game could get such a fee, this guy hasn't won ANYTHING

no matter how much money a club has, a player of this standard is not worth even half this.

This is why their national side done nothing in the WC. Their own media tell them that their players are world class when realsitically they are just supplement to a team of talented foreigners. When they go on the international scene, they are shown for what they are.

As soon as Citeh are interested in a player, they're value goes through the roof.

Surely they must have been interested in mcgeady at some point then ? that could be the only reason a player as shit as him is worth £10 million.

Milner is everything that's wrong with English football. He's big, strong, athletic, he's got great stamina and will run all game. But his touch is ordinary, he can't take a ball under pressure and an intelligent team can snuff him out easily. But he's English and with UEFA rules insisting on homegrown players in European squads he's suddenly worth a premium. It's farcical.
