Where will it end ..............

The BBC gossip column has today reports that Man City have offered Ibrahimovic a 4 year deal worth £96M, that's £500K A WEEK!

Further down the page they have Jason Roberts move to QPR won't happen as he wants £30 A WEEK. I mean Jason Roberts wants £30K a week FFS. Guys like this couldn't lace wee Stevie D's boots.

It's getting ridiculous down there and more and more we'll suffer because of it. It's quite possible that Jelavic is courting an EPL offer.

In light of this, and considering our lengthy transfer negotiations this summer, are we being harsh on the club for penny pinching or sticking to a budget?

Will it take a top 10 club in England to go BUST before we start seeing caps in transfers/wages?

Or do we all need to cancel our SKY subscriptions and hope they go bust aswell

The thing is too, say after two or three years Ibrahimovic wants to move on its a lose lose situation for his old and new club. There's no way they'll recoup the money selling him on so what's the point in that. Man City will be first to go to the wall because as we've seen with Man Utd, buying the league and the Champions League does not make you money, it gets you into millions/billions of debt.

I would love to see a salary cap just to see how Platini and that wee two faced crunt Blatter would get around that poser. In one breath they complain about clubs going broke and that all clubs should be equal...and then they turn around and say that players should be able to get what they are worth, which equates to a salary cap equalling a constraint of trade.....Talk about running with the hare and chasing with the fucking fox! doh

As long as the owner of Man. City has got oil to sell, Millions/Billions of lost sheckels ain't going to put a dent in his wallet. :sherlock:

Thing is with wages like that at city, if he was ever to move anywhere else from there he would end up having to take a 50-100% pay cut, so even if City wanted rid of him at some point, don't think they would manage.

100% pay cut? Wish Bain could sort out deals like that.

FFS thats unbelievable money noone should be paid that much. The EPL has ruined football for every other country. Gone are the days of Rangers being in for top player if thats the sort of wages they are looking for

salary caps are illegal, however fifa could make a rule that clubs are not allowed to spend over x ammount on wages in total per year thus forcing them to cap themself? I know there is a new rule about debt in the CL thats either about to come in or has been talked about coming in, that if you are spending more than you earn, you wont be allowed in to the CL

portsmouth, cardiff, leeds...

potentially alot lot more.................

these billionnaires walk away, leaving these wage bills.......... :anguish:

the clubs deserve it though, run very poorly

although i believe Arsenal are the best run club in Britain, financially.

Its going to end in tears for alot of clubs down south. They're spending far too much because far too much is getting passed around. Only the likes of Arsenal and Everton will survive this because they're spending within their means. Man Utd, Chelsea, Tottenham and Man City will crash back down to earth sooner rather than later. I can't wait till that happens.
