Guest
Allan McGregor has arrived on the world stage.Tonight Rangers keeper Allan McGregor brought himself firmly into the conciousness of the world football community at large with a magnificent display as Scotland unluckily lost 3:2 to World Champions Spain.A string of world class saves gave McGregor the Man of the Match and the plaudits from a very satisfying night for the Scotland support. International captain Darren Fletcher when interviewed by Sky Sports after the game insisted that McGregor is up there with the best in the world and that it will now be very hard for Craig Gordon to shift McGregor from the Scotland starting line up."Greegsy kept us in it with some fantastic saves", said the skipper. "He was world class, and showed that he is one of the best out there".View the full article

1st_Jan_1994 4,868
Reina and Hart are the only 2 goalkeepers playing in Britain I'd serious consider having over McGregor. His form in the last year or so has been sensational.

Harry Callahan 9
Lionel leitizi :-(He had the background of a being a good keeper, lets just say unfortunate in his time with us, Maxwell's reputation lived on one game where he lost how many goals? StevenDavis 112
Who discovered Allan McGregor and got him to play for the Gers? From what I can gather it was an ex-rangers youth coach called Stuart McKee. My Dad is good pals with his brother. Stuart used to be a sort of youth scout for both Rangers and Man Utd in an unofficial capacity iirc.
