the question was is this week more important than last. i said yes. i feel i have been proven correct.

fwiw i do think he will walk tomorrow or at very least appear to if the deals not done.

but you claimed people were claiming inside info and you have presented no evidence to back it up. as ever.

your opinion isn't worth much but good to see you attempting to backtrack.....

Had a quick look and we dont appear to break down our assets so whilst the value would be in there, the name of the asset wouldnt.

I can 100% assure you though Im looking at the deeds right in front of me and they list the proprietor as the Club. (tu)

I thought we listed the stadium, murray park etc or is it just a value we list ?

here is what the scottish sun think

make of it what you will (tu)

CRAIG WHYTE will have to provide proof he can bankroll the Ally McCoist era before Rangers will okay his takeover of the club.

SunSport can reveal Sir David Murray agreed a deal with Whyte to sell Gers LAST MONTH.

The Scots tycoons shook hands in a make-or-break summit, but the saga is rumbling on because the Ibrox hierarchy want water-tight evidence that incoming boss McCoist WILL be given the £5million PER SEASON for transfers over the next five years Whyte promised.

SunSport understands the multi-million pound takeover will only be rubber-stamped by senior Ibrox figures once they have that assurance.

Murray - who took control of Gers in 1988 - brokered a deal to sell his remaining 85 per cent shareholding in the SPL champions to 39-year-old venture capitalist Whyte.

Whyte, though, has yet to write a cheque after months spent poring over the Ibrox books.

The deal is on the brink of completion after Lloyds Bank confirmed yesterday they were happy for it to proceed.

Whyte could land Rangers for a knockdown £28m after he and the bank drew up plans to address the club's debt, expected to stand at £20m when Gers' half-yearly figures are announced today.

Meanwhile, Gers star Lee McCulloch has begged Whyte to bankroll new deals for McCoist's big-name players.

Sasa Papac is out of contract in June while Steven Davis, Steven Whittaker and Madjid Bougherra have just a year left on their deals.

And McCulloch believes it's vital Gers are not broken up in the summer and new faces are brought in to give McCoist a fighting chance as he prepares for his first season in charge of his beloved Gers.

Midfielder McCulloch said: "It would be great if we could keep this group of boys together.

"A few of the lads like Sasa, Madjid, Steven Davis and Whitty are nearing the ends of their deals.

"They've been superb, so it would be great if the club was in a position to offer them new deals.

"If everyone is settled it would give us a real boost going into the new season.

"This is a massive summer for us all and an exciting time to be at Rangers.

"I'd love to see Ally McCoist given money to spend in the summer.

"It would give everyone at the club such a lift.

"This group of players have been terrific, but there is no doubt you need fresh legs and fresh faces around the place."

i dont really see what power the rangers board has in the face of an owner with a eighty five percent shareholding.

we established months ago on here rangers own it mate.

it was sold back as part of the casino bid.

rangers sold it for two million and bought it back a few years ago.

theres some suggestion it was a gift from fans in the first place.

seems to the layman we are paying over 4 million for something we used to own.

boss should do an article on this. it could be quit interesting to see the history of this from an expert point of view.

Having a £4 million loan(if thats what it is) secured against an asset does not automatically mean the asset was purchased for £4 million.

I would have thought SDM would have made sure whyte had the money before allowing talks to progress as far as they have

Time will tell in the days ahead.... time for him to put up or fuck off.

It's not just about raising the money to buy the clubs it's also about the viability going forward.....

I dont go on there.

But, if we paid a quid for it, why would the layman think we are paying over 4 million for something we used to own ? <cr>

well there were alot of clauses to the deal.

thats why i said an article by someone who knows his stuff would be interesting.

fwiw ff are suggesting something like its a finance lease. no idea what that is but its bluedell saying it and hes the top man when it comes to finances and rangers.

only in cartmans imagination.

aparently aj is flying into the country as we speak.

In my opinion, a chairman of a club such as Rangers should be based here. Not America.

It wasn't a popular opinion to others on here the last time I mentioned it, but I can't help it. It's too big a job.

That's strange. I'd agree with you that in order to be a chairman of a football club you need be more close by and present.

What do you think gunslinger, is this a goer ?

hes spent alot of cash here. its a serious bid. if it doesnt go ahead i would say it means we are in a very bad state.

ie the tax issue is as bad as suggested or something like that.
