Gers4lyf 49 Posted December 29, 2010 Share Posted December 29, 2010 Carling cup is worthless, so is League cup here.Scrap them both and make Anglo-Scottish cup.First rounds north and south so that the minnow Scottish teams don't have to travel so far and vice versa. Why wouldn't there be?if the league cup was scrapped it would take place instead of those games. Basically it would be no different for lower scottish sides, just a lot better if they go far. If Man U and Arsenal play 2nd 11's against each other in the Carling Cup why would they do anything different in an Anglo Scottish cup tie against us or Motherwell?Its not so much the Carling cup thats dead down South, its just that the EPL and CL are the only shows in town and the big clubs dont want any other fixture cluttering up their alraedy congested calendar.I'm afraid times up on the FA cup as well, which is a real shame Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

No way will this ever happen, if countries were allowed cross-border competitions then why would English teams choose to play Scottish ones? They would just organise a cup competition against the spaniards or germans, etc. And then this would never be allowed to happen anyway as it would threaten the Champions League and Europa League.
