Broxi1872 187
http://twitter.com/THEREALSTEVENPITo end speculation I am going to Spurs. I've had brilliant years at Everton and it will always be a special place in my heart.

Stu1993 101
Enjoy the bench Spot on mate, i think he could have had a better chance of first team football at chelsea.
Sgt. Pepper 117
Poor career move from Steven, At 28 the last thing you should want is to be wasting away on the bench at Spurs, Really do hope he does well & breaks into the first team though. Stu1993 101
TBH Its what chelsea dont need, IMO Chelsea really do need to start investing in younger players around 22 to 26 years old. The team is full of experience but sometimes you need to freshen it up.
BlueSuedeSambas 56,382
This is such a typical Premiership transfer.Decent player moves to a club, where he is never going to get a game, because a big wage is on offer and after eighteen months/two years of sparodic football he will move on to a run of the mill club and be hailed as a saviour because he's on a massive contract and coming to them from a big club.So expect to see Pienaar turn up at Wolves, Stoke or Birmingham in a few years and be hailed as a hero in the same way that guys like Bentley, Beattie, Damien Duff, Sidwell, Bullard, Parker, Darren Bent & Upson have done in the recent past and in a way that guys like Kranjkar, Palacios, Konchesky & Shaun Wright Phillips will probably do soon. Guest SandyWATP
Wildly over-rated player.
sdunsmb 43
It's Spurs who are getting the good deal here, not Pienaar. Good caliber of player for the price and will strengthen thier squad but can't see him being a first team player.
Muff 245
I think he's a cracking player, certainly not overrated or underrated. Liked him ever since his Ajax days. He's got pace, energy, creativity, can deliver a ball... my one gripe about him is his finishing. For an attacking minded player, it is fcuking woeful, which is strange as he's got a sweet right boot. He averages about 3/4 goals a season
pipedown27ready 108
£3 million and eligible to play in this years Champions League. Great piece of business.
Irwin Sparkes 97
Very strange move as the only position he's ever likely to get a start is on the right wing, and even then he'll start off as second choice to Lennon
Ryan_1 1,136
Where is he going to fit in at Tottenham? He is a AMC/R/L and currently occupying those positions at Spurs are Lennon, Bale and Van Der Vaart. In all due respect to Pienaar, he isn't better than any of those three so a place on the bench looks likely. I'm guessing that's Niko Krancjar on his way out of White Hart Lane, now there's a player that I'd love at Ibrox - not going to happen though. WeeBlue 39
He'll be used as cover for Bale, Lennon & Modric.. I think he'll play quite a lot and will do well. He is a very good wee player.
doddsyRFC 1
I think he would have been better going to Chelsea. Is he honestly gonna get over Bale or Lennon?

Yoghurto 9
Redknapp is like a junky in a desperate need for a fix, whenever the transfer window opens.Signing Pienaar, when the likes of Kranjcar don't even get a game...
