Motherwell & hearts midfield dominated us in both games & McCulloch was playing in the majority of both. Do we have any other midfielders to call upon? He would have given countless free kicks away as well just by being clumsy and barging into people like he always does. The tactics were all wrong but we were still inches away from winning, if jelavic hadnt hit the ball so hard davis would have got on the end of that ball across the goal and it was a certain goal. McCulloch wouldn't have let them get away with that.And with the taigs playing 4 CM's across the middle, this meant we had to take advantage of the wide positions.
