caps13gb 19
signed a new one year contract...great news for football in general. great role model for young footballers... but did he fulfil the potential he showed at 17 18?

Cappa 24
I think he did fulfil his potential. If you said to him when he first broke into the side, "you'll win 11 Premier League title's, 2 Champions League's, break Charlton's appearance record and be voted the club's greatest ever player" he'd have called you a mad man. caps13gb 19
Voted by the fans of one of the worlds great clubs as that clubs greatest ever player.... that is quite an accolade20yrs of performing at the highest level, in terms of longevity and ability, it's fair to say Giggs has to be mentioned in the same sentence as the Zidanes, Maldinis, etc of the world. Utterly professional too and has rarely made headlines for the wrong reasons in his career.that is an amazing accolade to be even considered for, though i dont think he was the greatest ever player to play for man utd. hes had an amazing career and is without doubt the best servant the club has ever had and probably ever will. though in pure playing ability was he better than even scholes? was he better than bobby charlton? more talented than george best?. i dont think so personally. Irwin Sparkes 97
His constant hamstring injuries in his early 20s meant he never really became the world class player he was expected to be. Irrelevant though really.
AndBoydScores 8
Always said to my son when I was coaching him, whenever you see Man Utd. play, watch Giggs, whenever he receives the ball he's always in acres of space, that alone, never mind his ability, playing in the Premiership mostly as a forward for 20yrs. where nobody gets time on the ball marks him down as a special talent in my book.
