WALTER SMITH is short of seven first team players for tonight's Scottish Cup fifth round replay at Parkhead.

The Rangers boss was dealt a huge blow by the loss of Nikica Jelavic to a knee injury while Kyle Lafferty's tonsilitis will also keep him out.

Joining the pair on the sidelines are Vladimir Weiss, Jamie Ness, Kirk Broadfoot, Lee McCulloch and Steven Naismith.

That means Smith turns to the side that started in Lisbon last midweek with Davie Weir restored to defence following a rest at the weekend against St Johnstone.

Weir will be flanked by Madjid Bougherra and Kyle Bartley with Richard Foster and Sasa Papac in the full back roles.

John Fleck returns to the starting eleven on the left flank with Steven Whittaker on the opposite wing.

Steven Davis and Mo Edu will form the central midfield pairing with El-Hadji Diouf again deployed in the lone striking role.

Rangers: McGregor; Foster, Bougherra, Weir, Bartley, Papac; Whittaker, Davis, Edu, Fleck; Diouf.

Subs: Alexander, Healy, Wylde, Kerkar, Hutton.

Knee injury lads...could end up a bad one :anguish:
