I accept it wasn't pretty but until Whittaker got sent off the match was going to the game plan. They had had most of the possession but had not once penetrated into a dangerous area and hadn't got their fullbacks forward. It was a typical "European" game which we probably have kept a clean sheet until c. 70 minutes and then tried for the winner, without being gunho. After the sending off Issigeuri (spelling ? - but who the f**k cares) ran riot up the left and that was where all the danger came from.
