so stv website is wrong then?

It might be 11pm tonight for the deadline but maybe there is some UEFA rule that a player must be signed at least 24hours before a match? Just guessing TBH (tu)

Yes, Its something like he must be registered 26hrs before kick off to be able to play, 11pm tonight is not 24hrs before the match anyway.

Uefa's own rules state he must be registered no later than 2400 hours CET. He can be registered up untill 11 o'clock tonight

I think this could prove to be a very shrewd signing. Picked up for a small fee, plenty of experience and looks like he is well suited for British football.

He might not be the best on the ball but a defender's main attribute should be defending. If you can have a defender who defends well and is comfortbale on the ball then that is a bonus and we have been lucky to see people like Boumsong, Cuellar and Bougherra fit that bill. But look at people like Marvin Andrews, David Weir, Ugo Ehiogu and even that baldy cunt from the dark side. They were/are poor on the ball but they can defend.

He might get found out in Europe but the SPL is the bread and butter and if he can come in and help us keep clean sheets and help us win more trophies then I will be delighted.

If we get him in I would still like to see Cuellar/Juhasz arrive as well. Especially if Bougherra leaves.

Not true. It is 11pm.

List A has to be submitted by the following fixed deadlines:

a) 20 June 2011 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the first qualifying round;

b) 7 July 2011 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the second qualifying round;

c) 21 July 2011 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the third qualifying round;

d) 8 August 2011 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the play-offs;

e) 1 September 2011 (24.00 CET) for all further matches from the first

match in the group stage up to and including the final.

For the three qualifying rounds and the play-offs, a club may register a

maximum of one new eligible player on List A after the above-mentioned

deadlines, provided the quota of locally trained players is respected. Such

registration must be completed by 24.00 CET on the day before the relevant

first-leg match and the club’s association must confirm in writing that the new

player is eligible to play at domestic level at this time.

Dorin Goian - 6ft4 1/2 inches tall.

Roland Juhasz - 6ft4 inches tall.

That is one central tall defence we're lining up.

Makes for a better wall when McCulloch gives away free-kicks around the box. :craphead: (Only jokin', Lee, its not your fault, I know Mo doesnae tackle at all)

With Wallace at 6'1" as well, we'll be getting a Bremen-like defence.

that could be really lacking in pace though, but we wont need it since no headers get beaten and high long balls stand no chance :lol:
