TerryButchersDoor 8
Good research mate Just trying to bring a bit of sanity to the debate.
simplythebest 11,453
It's about more than the fact we drew the game, nobody is going to claim the league is decided after the first day, even though it's still not good enough we dropped yet more points at home. There's a big lack of quality in our side, and it needs sorting ASAP!
TerryButchersDoor 8
There's still 111 points up for grabs. We both know there's no time to close the gap mate!

Jelavic9 5
I hope the players respond well to the transaction from joker to manager from Ally.
simplythebest 11,453
1 month of window left. Moaning after that will be more legitimate surely. There's four more league games and Champions League qualifiers before the window shuts. We can talk about the first day not mattering but in the games that are left between now and the 31st of August plenty of damage can be done to our season. caseyjones 3,009
So, to sum up, in those years mentioned, that is the first time Rangers have dropped points at home in the opening match. It's amazing what you make out of a set of results. StevenDavis 112
Plenty of time to fix our mistakes. We've got until the end of August to bring in players and I won't start worrying unless we hit September and we've still got the same squad as we do today. That or we've signed pish like Broadfoot again etc.
King Jela 21,690
I don't believe anyone has actually chucked the league just because we didn't win today.
docspiderman 1,310
What worried me more than the result was the complete lack of organisation in defending set pieces;at the Hearts goal players were standing looking at each other trying to decide who should be marking who, a bit reminiscent of a cup game last year when we had a corner and no one went to take it. Also having Durrant in the dug out fills me with dread.
mairydilk 22
what looked like a lack of organisation was worrying.what were our results against hearts last year?
Irwin Sparkes 97
I remember the intense gloating amongst our support when Celtic dropped 2 points at Dunfermline on the opening day of the 03/04 season. They ended up winning their next 25 SPL games and winning the league by about 20 points. Today's result won't matter.
