Once again just shows the gulf in class between Scotland and most other teams in the area of the park where it matters most. Think we scored the least tries of any team in the World Cup and even Italy yesterday showed their cutting edge.It hasn't helped of course that over the past few years we almost forgot about trying to score tries in preference to relying on the boot of Chris Paterson.Wooden spoon beckons this year and its question marks over how much progression, if any, has been made under Robinson. Those forwards could go toe to toe with pretty much any country in the world. Unfortunately, the backs keep letting us down. De Luca, Rory Lamont and Laidlaw were all guilty of making stupid errors, although Hogg and Jones did do quite well. Think it's time for someone to replace Townsend though.I agree with most of that although I thought Laidlaw looked promising, at least he hinted at a running/passing threat from stand off. Hogg looked good and Tim Visser will make a difference eventually.All in all very frustrating, we do so much so well but are totally incapable of getting the points our play often deserves.
