D'Artagnan 13,319
What's wrong with the singing? It's part of our heritage...and Celtic's.We've just been brainwashed into thinking its wrong. One day we will wake up and they will have made us wear green as part of legislation and to avoid controversy ...then we will see all the media-addicted supporters groups begging us to accept it..Get a grip, it's not too late.. We are Rangers, we have heritage. We aren't murderers.Thats almost Jeanette Findlayesque !!!
nachothelegend 1,932
Yip, ill shut it just for you If you feel so strongly about what other fans are singing, then feel free to do something about it.....lead by example then the rest of us will follow your lead See thread FARE may have broken the law on this forum.I complaned and they sent all my personal details to the team that hates the Armed Forces. davie_bluenose 20
The way they'll see it though is... In the future when things are back to normal and if some fans still continue to do it, when both teams are going for league titles. Points deductions would be a way that could make or break a title decider. The thing our own governing bodies be doing the now is, planning to make something stick to be pro-active. But, in a way that stirs up the least amount of controversy. Like it or not, were a prime target for future cases.I get your point though, some of our fans simply don't care. Or simply don't see it.Ill never understand why now was the time to do it, McCoist was pleading with the fans to stop and yesterday he must have been thinking ffs some just dont get it. I do see point about what other fans are singing and were being singled out, but we cant worry about that because its what we do that counts and directly effects us.In a perfect world we could sing TBB, but thats not the case anymore. barcelonabear 23
It was bound to happen, were a easy target. The BBC and other organisations will be looking at this as a easy way to deliver a punishment (point deductions) for singing certain songs, as were not really in a position of winning a league title.Yet again, we'll be used as a test case. For further punishments down the line.Aye because we make ourselves an easy target. The club and the fans have worked hard to try and cut out the outdated chants, yet the day the eyes of the world are on us we scrap all the hard work and just add more embarrassment. Yeah Celtic supporters sing songs they shouldn't, but I couldn't give a flying fuck what there fans do. It only embarrasses their club. We sort ourselves out, they have nowhere to hide and the justice so many seem to want when they bring out the "oh but they sing pro IRA songs defence" will be done. weshallnotbemoved! 714
Aye we often share a Sauv Blanc together in the uni bar....Thought so... Chilean perhaps? On your request for elaboration, you don't need me to articulate, however all the complaints against political correctness are usually subjective to geographical location but the methods of redress remain the same...every time you disagree with it say so. We shouldn't be judged on that. If I was clever enough I would solve world peace. We're only flesh and blood though..Those who can amongst us should be leaders..Ally McCoist said a few lines and had th stadium like a cauldron. Imagine if we had that same sort of leadership but only a bit more adept. The media would be eating out of our hands,If collectively we were all of the same mental agility and emotional judgement then we would choose our modus operandi differently.So.... Until I become a rocket scientist..me and my pals will keep singing..

Of course if the SFA/SPL want to make a major impact with dealing with these type of songs and appear to be pro-active in cutting it out. They'll start with us, and use it a president for future cases down the line.
