Thermopylae 15,287
Nice sentiments from Walter but the worrying part of that is the "it’s not me they’re needing, it’s Roman Abramovich" bit which is not true at all. Fair play to Walter all he has ever known at Rangers under the ownership of Murray, not necessarily when he was boss though, is an ability to spend money whether we had it or not. An Abramovich type is not what we need, that will take us down the same road Murray took us, what we need is someone who has the brains to run us like an efficient business and the balls to say no to fans and managers when the demand we spend money we dont have. Will a return in some capacity by Walter undermine Ally somewhat? And also, is there much point with nothing left to play for but pride? Its not like Ally doesnt know what he is doing, sure he is struggling but he knows how to keep the lads going. Can we imagine Ally willing to take on Celtic and has a plan in his head to attack them and win the match, he then asks Walter for advice and Walter advises him to keep it tight and whatever he does make sure he doesnt lose the match which in turns changes Allys mind and he takes that advice only for us to see the same results we saw last year in old firm matches and we lose. Ally must be allowed to make his own decisions and his own mistakes, which he has at times this season. Thanks anyway Walter, we know you care and we know you are hurting like us all but we need to move on. Like someone else said the other day, we cant keep going back to him in a crisis. To be fair to Walter the debts and the EBTs came after he left
Jig 14
To be fair to Walter the debts and the EBTs came after he leftHe was still here after Kaunas. Thats when the £33m debt started. I also dont know what relevance your reply has to the bold bit Thermopylae.
