Think they will just miss out, if Tottenham win that's five points cap for CL football.

Swansea away next weekend is tricky, should on paper win three games after that. Test is the final three games away to Chelsea, City home and Everton away.

Will be a tight call for 5th place between them and Chelsea. Saying that Tottenham need to improve their run of results.

Swansea have a big shout in it. You just never really know how well they'll play. Both Newcastle and Spurs have pace and can counter attack Swansea who usually boss possession so it should be interesting.

I won't rule out Newcastle just yet..Spurs are on a rocky road and Chelsea are still pretty vulnerable.

Was so close on putting Cisse 2-0 on with SkyBet at 60/1 then thought na, liverpool will score, so put on 3-1!...absolutely gutted :( Hopefully Swansea pop up with a cheeky win for a double with Newcastle!!!!

Will be a tight call for 5th place between them and Chelsea IMO. Saying that Tottenham need to improve their run of results and Arsenal could go on a bad run with some tricky games.

With the fixtures the way they are I would have to agree, I would be happy with Europa League at this point TBH

Saying that some of NUFC's most impressive performances have been against the bigger teams

Newcastle fully warranted their win today. Their performance was head and shoulders above Liverpool's from first whistle to last.

Speaking as a Liverpool supporter of 20 years plus, as well as Rangers obviously, to call Liverpool mediocre would not be a disservice. The only thing keeping Kenny Dalglish in the Liverpool manager's job is his past. If anyone else had been the manager, they'd have been out the door so quickly their feet wouldn't have touched the ground.

Liverpool has spent something in the region of £135 million since Dalglish took charge and it is he, and Damien Comolli's fault, that it all appears to have been wasted:

Jordan Henderson: Over-priced under achiever.

Stewart Downing: See above.

Charlie Adam: Overweight gap-toothed Hollywood pass specialist.

Jose Enrique: Dependable left-back, but is reluctant to track back when he, which is regularly, gets caught up field when the opposition counter.

Luis Suarez: Over-rated and over-priced striker who doesn't score that many goals.

Andy Carroll: Same as Luis Suarez minus the over-rated bit.

Alexander Doni: Can't even get a game.

Craig Bellamy: Disliked by all and sundry and has a fucked knee.

It's a telling statistic that Papiss Cisse has scored more league goals for Newcastle in 2 months than Andy Carroll has scored in 14 months..........and Cisse cost approximately 25% the amount Andy Carroll cost. He genuinely is a waste of money.

It's said that you are where you are in the league on merit. That's true with Liverpool because they are shite at this current juncture and as for a top 4 place.......they're not even good enough to get a Champions League place, never mind participate in it.

The Toon have a surprising amount of quality, when you consider that arguably the club's best defender - Coloccini - was missing today. Perch and Williamson were outstanding, although Perch's reaction to the headbutt was a bit pathetic. However, the intent was there from Reina and he had to go. Ben Arfa is a quality player.

Ben Arfa is cracking but he's hella enigmatic and his ball greediness drives me crazy sometimes

Good result, what a signing Cisse has been 7 in 7, Ba and Ben Arfa were good again and Tiote was sublime.

It's frightening to think that Liverpool could've bought 3 Papiss Cisse's with the money they used to buy Carroll

And Carroll diving when he went round Krul was obvious bottle crashing. He fucking shat it.
