LegendofCoop 17,468
There is of course, the small matter of a transfer embargo to be removed first!
BlueSuedeSambas 54,341
There is of course, the small matter of a transfer embargo to be removed first! The transfer embargo was removed weeks ago. The only way it will be put back in place is if Green actively seeks it to be as a means of avoiding one of the other "punishments" that the SFA are allowed to place on us. All the CoS can do is deem it an to be illegal. They have no powers to over turn it. The SFA can still possibly turn around & say "we don't care what you say". Where we would go after that is another matter.
gordonb23 99
In all seriousness without getting carried away, Gavin Rae, Nacho Novo, Kevin Kyle and big jig could all do a job for us and serve as good journeymen for our youth players.
8watp8 254
sebo!! sebo!! sebo!! seriously though some of the names you are mentioning are delusional, even the shittest player to pull on a gers top will be too good for the 3rd division. people start opening your eyes! Crespie6 334
We cannot let this opportunity pass us by,3 years without Europe is our chance to focus on youth diluted with a few experienced pros. This should have been done years ago and we might not have been in this position right now, build a team capable of dominating for years rather than this season to season pish.totally agree. will also take tonnes of pressure of McCoist knowing that he doesnt have to worry about sellick for a few seasons. My hope is that we end up with a strong young team by the time we get back to the SPL

SwallowsHisOwnSpunk 7,906
fuck sake some people on here are so bloody short sighted fucking Bob Malcom, Maurice Ross fuck off it's a big wide world and as someone else said we need to be focusing on youth players to move forward not old washed up former players yes they might be good enough but it's so short sighted we need to develop our youth players and to sign some promising youthplayers with the promise of regular first team football and development they wouldn't get elsewhere.People in Scotland are to close minded youth is the way forward and even though we will be in the 1st/3rd division people still can't see that which is sad all we need is the odd experienced player not a team made up of former players.Alan SmithDarren ColeRoss PerryChris HegartyKyle HuttonJamie NessLewis McLeodDarren RamseyFraser AirdJohn FleckBarrie McKayJamie BurrowsAndrew LittleKane HemmingsThese players should all be part of the squad next season presuming some of them don't challenge their contract transfer.
