Margaret Grubbon and Associates

Yes, that’s a childish play on words, but when the lawyer representing the players who have shafted Rangers cannot call our club by our name, and repeatedly calls us “newco”, then I think I have good reason to.

“However, dismissing claims that other clubs are likely to pay a fee to Rangers newco, PFA Scotland Solicitor Margaret Gribbon, of Bridge Litigation, said: “Those clubs who have already signed former Rangers players are unlikely to pay any fee to the newco.

“I say this because FIFA has made clear that provisional International Transfer Certificates (ITCs) will be granted enabling the players to play football with their new clubs.

“Prior to Friday’s rulings by FIFA, a new club may have been minded to pay a fee in exchange for newco agreeing to immediate release of the player’s registration, but there seems no reason for them to do so now.

“Secondly, newco has elected to refer the breach of contract disputes to the SFA.

“It is important to note that Rangers oldco and newco have not cited any other club as a party to the dispute; they cannot do so in any event since the SFA has no jurisdiction to make any ruling against a club outwith Scotland.

“Thirdly, and as matters currently stand, a club would not be able to pay any fee directly to newco since it is not a member of the SFA.

”I have been working closely with the solicitors for all of the English clubs involved and Sion FC, and they all share our view that no fee or compensation was due to the newco.”

The interesting thing is that the firm that Gribbon is quoted as being from; “Bridge Litigation” has a murky looking structure.

It is set up as a subsidiary of Glasgow defence law firm Liam O’Donnell, and its directors are O’Donnell and John Paul Mowberry.

It’s registered business address is at O’hara’s accountants in Clarkston, Glasgow, who state they are business and taxation advisers. Bridge’s actual address is in Carlton Place on the Clydeside, just yards along the road from Aamer Anwar’s office.

O’Donnell currently has 3 active directorships

Fellow director Jon Paul Mowberry also has 3 active directorships

Strangely, Gribbon and the Directors of both Bridge Litigation and Liam O’Donnell are the team on a firm called Pro Legal Sports Management, which states it is based at 63 Carlton Place, Glasgow, while it’s official registered address is in Buchanan street in Glasgow

It appears top be run by former St Mirren and Aberdeen player Ricky Gillies, who is the sole director, and also shares business interests with David Goodwillie

Quite how the same team keep turning up in different firms is anyone’s guess.

It is quite something for Gribbon to moralise to Rangers about their business arrangements, when she appears to work for 3 firms (Bridge, O’Donnell, and Pro Legal)

Should I just say she works for firm one, who are a subsidiary of firm two, and consult for firm three?

Gribbon, who also represents former Celtic Assistant Manager Alan Thompson, recently negotiated a quiet settlement for Thompson following his sacking from Celtic, and rendered subsequent threats redundant.

So, Thompson will be kept quiet and all at Parkhead will be happy.

Gribbon is certainly less discrete, and more direct in her communications about Rangers.

Gribbon, who is also a facebook friend of Anwar, Rosie Kane and Joan McAlpine and was educated at St Ambrose in Coatbridge certainly seems comfortable sticking the boot in to Rangers?

I wonder why?

Could it just be that she is a Rangers hating bigot?

Bill.

Good stuff mate, someone needs to out these fekkers on a regular basis as it is an Agenda, and we as a support have to wake up and be motivated to the way they are controlling the public faces of media, legal and official institutions.

disgusting cunt, all her statements have reeked of desperation. We'll win this case regarding transferred players. Southampton already conceeded that to the tune of 800k. Why would they have forked out nearly a million quid if it was as clear cut as old maggie rotten teeth is makin out?

She must be fucking good when it gets to the nitty-gritty of negotiating for her clients. Mrs CanadianBacon and I happened on to her horse-toothed Geordie "client" with the alcohol addiction at one of the M6 services as we headed back north this morning.

Said "client" was driving a 2012-Reg white fuck-off-Mercedes.

Nice "keep yer' mouth shut Thommo" work if you can get it. :sherlock:

Only a taig lover could twist the law to suit their agenda.

The way I see it, the players were registered/contracted with Rangers oldco, the newco tried to take over these registrations/contracts, these legal eagles say the newco is due no money from transfers because they were oldco players and didn't have to go with the newco.

But the oldco Rangers still exsits, why can't any trasnfer payment be made to the oldco? just because a company's in admin doesn't mean that all assets can be stolen.

It like a shop going into admin and everyone going in and helping themselves :disappointment:
