carrickblue 322 Posted March 13, 2013 Share Posted March 13, 2013 i was just reading about Flamengo on wikipedia - the other curious coincidence with them is that originally they were founded as a rowing club and of course our first badge was adopted from a rowing club... more than that they had an accident and at risk of drowning were saved by a boat called "Loyal" - who'd believe it?Sorry - i keep on editing this post; apparently one of their first players was a guy called Lawrence Andrews - surely a Scot; might he have gone for a Rangers-like crest???
