Yep often thought that...

It's obvious from our passing, free kicks and corners that players don't see a ball all week.

Still...as long as they are having a laugh

What you've just witnessed is someone lying to push their personal view.

My experience is watching a full preseason session at Marienfeld last summer when they were here. The training base is three miles from me. Training was about 2 1/2 hours, including a couple of breaks, involved some stamina and short sharp sprint work, some basic ball work and game play. Admittedly, there was no full match or no set piece plays, but then this was a preseason session so not sure I'd expect that. Ball work would have covered approx 70% of the session. I've also watched Porto train here (Hulk, Moutinho et al) and to be honest, they did a variation on the same stuff....but were clearly much better! Willem II, the Dutch side, would appear to be the best technical training team I've seen but doesn't seem to transfer to their results!
