cushynumber 25,178
The London Olympics were "more or less sabotaged" by the participation of Russian athletes who should have been banned for doping, a report has found. The report, by an independent commission set up by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), directly accuses the Russian government of complicity in widespread doping and attempts to cover it up. It blamed what it called an inexplicable laissez-faire attitude toward drug cheats from the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and the Russian Anti-Doping Agency. The 350-page report recommended that Russia should be suspended from athletics competitions until it cleans up its act.Commission chairman Dick Pound said Russia's behaviour amounted to "state-supported doping" and that a suspension could lead to Russian athletes being excluded from next year's Rio Olympics.http://news.sky.com/story/1584300/london-olympics-sabotaged-by-russian-cheats

sandyinroyalblue 16,478
Lets face it cheating is rife in athletics but some countries seem to be better at cheating than others, not surprised that WADA purge against doping in athletics starts with the Russians when other countries problems with doping seem to be just as bad. sandyinroyalblue 16,478
Before we get on our moral high horses about the Russians we have proven cheats running for Britain and until we hand out life bans for cheating we have no right to condemn others. Spectre 1,663
It's been said, particularly in the short distance races that there probably hasn't been a winner at a major competition that wasn't doping in decades. It's embarrassing how much people praise some runners as being clean when their vast improvement over a short time points to nothing but doping

TheKingObv 10,657
And she then dropped out of her other discipline where she was a hot favourite to win another gold. Only saying....What event? Only one she was capable of getting anywhere near a medal was the hurdles, but even then she was 33rd in the world before her PB in the heptathlon. And that PB wouldn't have got her a medal.
