Can't identify this player, however, I had a search for old monochrome Rangers photos and... you can see where this is going...

A selection of the photographs I came across and thought, some at least, might not be so well known and of interest.

Here's hoping...

OK... that's us having to do some further research now.

If I'm up again early this morning, I haven't slept well since I came across that photo of the Rangers pool table.

'Lord, I don't ask for much...'.

Also... these might be quite rare, especially the second picture, which comes from a Russian web site?

Yea, we had a discussion about Latif a while back and IIRC, I posted a photo of him as a football commentator, in later years.

That second photo, I've delved into further and takes us to:

http://fcdynamo.ru/history/tournament/

Maybe of interest.

No programmes were published for the Friendly games from Rangers 1956 Spanish tour games

'Avance Quinielista' was a local publication produced on the evening of each game.

Valencia v Rangers - 20th May 1956

Hopefully not alone in appreciating historical Rangers related publications like this and how much they give us a sense of that time.

Even back then, 'Coca Cola - Deliciosa'!

'Note also a small article, 'BLAKPOOL and Valencia C.F', which presumably refers to this:

'1962 TROFEO NARANJA INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT VALENCIA V BLACKPOOL PLAYED 9 JUNE 1962'.

Love these wee tangents!
