A Rangers Brake Club banner for the Kinning Park Club, the dark blue ground with

white border, decorated on one side in gilt with the lettering Rangers Kinning Park Brake Club,

Good Old Jonnie, the centre painted with a circular portrait of a Rangers player enclosed by a border worked in gilt

with a continous band of thistles, the other side with brown lettering on a silver ground, inscribed Rangers Kinning Park Brake Club,

Alex. Craig., painted with a further circular panel of a football centred by a portrait of a Rangers player,

inscribed Painted By R.& J. Boyd 1907, enclosed by a border of laurel leafs, with gilt-metal thread fringe.

The first of the brake clubs began in the 1880’s, but by 1896, there were more than two dozen reported on the road to Paisley for one match against St Mirren at the time.
