Depressing thing is the lack of quality. I’m not excited by a single player.

No doubt we aren’t being managed well on and off the pitch.

But even when Gerrard took over and we didn’t win the league. There were 6-7 players that you felt could take their game to the next level. That were exciting.

Genuinely can’t think of a single player that could ever put together a performance like Morelos, Kent, Kamara, Tav, Bassey etc put in at their best in Europe.

Our best player is Barron who is tidy with a good work ethic.

Think this a slightly harsh assessment.

It’s fairly slim pickings but Jefte, Kasanwirjo, Bajrami & Barron all clearly have potential, and Bajrami aside, they all have youth on their side.

You’ve been one of the loudest voices when it’s come to talking about signing younger players to develop. That’s what we are doing now so surely you have to trust that process and allow the players a bit more time to develop to that level?

Clement won't develop them though. His tactics and way of setting us up to play are embarassing.

See when all of them were signed did you honestly think that in a couple of years they would be thrashing Dortmund away and one penalty from a European trophy?

The core of that side also took four years to get to that point and on the way were beaten by Slavia Prague, Malmo, Leverkusen and Lyon at home.

Come on, Bajrami’s looking above everyone in quality albeit still early.

Agree that the 5 players you mentioned were probably considerably better than our best 5 now will get to.
