Bluepeter9 5,167
In Daily Record today it says Novo is to get 2 year extension - which he will sign despite an offer to go to the championship and double his wages. Thats love for the team - how many of us would turn down a move that could double our wages, for any reason ? Go Novo!
JR 1,480
The wee man's heart has never been an issue - and his comittment is commendable , only wish we had 22 like that.
feda16 136
Walter Smith had to personally intervine according to the Record, looks like Bain should be booted out (please dont turn this in to an anti-bain thread) as Smith is capable of making decisions for Rangers and not some suit. Great to see a manager take Novo aside with the promise of 2 years, Also Novo, we, the fans, would like the thank you again, you've alledgedly turned down double you wages with probably the promise of a 3 year contract elsewhere to stay at a team where you are truely infullential on and off the park to fans and players alike. This kind of loyallty is rare in modern day football and hopefully you will rub some of this on you team mates (looking at you Hutton!! LOL).

Saudibear 0
Probably the only player we have that really plays for the Jersey. Well done wee man you deserve it.
ScotBear 144
Excellent news !! Thoroughly deserves such a deal. The bottom line is, for all the talk that he isn't Rangers class, he has contributed much more than the vast majority of players that have come and gone in recent years. Looks as though he may be fit for the Old Firm too
Wullie! 8
Nice to hear The wee man always gives 110% for the team. Hes got what he deserved.
Frankie 505
Good news.... Novo isn't the best player to ever have played for our club. But there's no doubt his hard work and goals in important games (at every level - SPL, Old Firm and European/CL games) means he's a valuable squad player to have. I'd much rather have him than Kenny Miller anyway.

gemzgers 0
If this turns out to be the case a big well done has to go to Novo for showing a loyalt that is well short in the current game. Also well done to Walter for stepping in and making it clear what he wanted

delparlane 5,692
If the story is true, then what a breath of fresh air it is in this day and age. God bless him - he realises what an honour it is to play for this great club, and we are really lucky to have him here. People like Nacho are all too rare in the world of sport nowadays. Good on you, wee man!

He always gives 100% and if everyone gave as much effort as him we would be in the last 16 and probably already be top of the league even with 2 games in hand. Bluepeter9 5,167
It would be a waste of cash to bring in Kenny Miller if Novo is staying - (IMHO) Novo is better, and his commitment is second to none!

girvan1690 0
i wish every player who plays for rangers would have the same loyality and support he has for the shirt and the fans, hes a pure legend, futute rangers hall of fame hopefully

However, Nacho Novo is very lucky to be at a club like Rangers, He is not doing Rangers a favour we are doing him a favour by allowing him to play for this great club. He would be nowhere near the first team if we had real quality and even when we have been struggling the likes of McLeish, PLG and Smith have been reluctant to play him. In the last couple of seasons he has been put out wide and cant get a role in his preferred position. He says the right things (Like Dado Prso) so he gets away with he faults and lack of real quality. A useful squad player over the years, But certainly not a hall of famer, IMO. bauba30 1
Id rather we gave him a 1 year extension then sold him Average player who tries hard Basically, Sebo is a younger, faster, stronger version of Novo
