rfc_no1fan 13
Is it his time? He had been patient and has been working extremely hard. Lets hope Walter gives him a run in the team
mark_ni 12
yes it is his time but he probably still wont play, i dont know why we spent so much money on him when it could have been better spent on a left sided midfielder.
Fiogh 178
Probably should get a run, seems to be the most sensible replacement for Thomson. Ah why the hell are we even discussing this, Ferguson will be straight back in.
papaguy51 912
If only. Mr Rangers will tell Smith to play him, and I've got no doubt he'll only be too happy to oblige. We haven't got a 'destroyer' now.
Ibroxblue 122
Fergie is the obvious and correct man to come into the team. But Mo is a bit closer, might get some sub appearances.

We haven't got a 'destroyer' now. If we dont have a Thomson-like player in the team. Noone will break up play, fight, work hard, tackle and start our attacks. Teams will get in behind our midfield and be allowed to run at Weir and/or play balls inbehind him. If we play Ferguson and Mendes, we will concede a lot more goals
Muff 245
Barry Ferguson should be nowhere near the 1st team - he's simply not fit enough. In Maurice Edu we have a player who's been fit all season, he's played international, reserve and 1st team matches. We also splashed £2.7m on him so if Thomson is out, Maurice Edu should be given the chance to show what he can do. Unfortunatley Walter Smith is itching to get Mr Rangers back. The 'correct man'. Why is this? Because in terms of replacing Kevin Thomson (and with that, the balance of our side), he's anything but the 'correct' choice.
