  1. This kicks off 5am my time and am stuck with second round of covid, going to be a huge effort to wake up for this and I'm more nervous about this than I was sitting in that Sevilla toilet bowl of a stadium Mon the Rangers 🇬🇧
  2. Fair play to the lad I reckon, he probably was a bit nervous and thought deeply about how he was going to start this thread and what he would say, for all of 3 seconds.
  3. In hindsight, while it was mind boggling at the time, the call to make him Captain was genius. Very hard for the captain of Rangers to leave for the likes of Southampton or Brighton IMO. He would have been off previously if not I reckon.
  4. Am I the only guy where all the old firm games blend in to one after about 5 year. The goals are clear in my mind but ask me what year or match scores and I wouldn't have a scoobie.
  5. What the fuck man. Had no clue he was even sick. Rip the Goalie.
  6. Seen on the Infants kits the home socks are white, what the actual fuck.
  7. Fuck me, unbelievable. Wow. Fair play to the board. And the Twitter admin 😂
  8. Some guy at the Hercules square rolled up with bagpipes and was playing the tunes, was brilliant 😂
  9. Stop kidding on, they were watching the game too.
  10. I'm just bitter at him over Wednesday, I'll get over it, probably around 2047
  11. Showed them his advice on my phone and he ditched the wheelchair and walked on to the plane.
  12. Just boarding my final flight back to Melbourne and chatted briefly to 2 old boys waiting on my flight... 1 of them with a walking stick and he said he had no choice but to walk about 4km to get to the stadium as no taxi access closer and then had to wait 2.5 hours after the match for a taxi to their accommodation. The state of the guy it would have put his health in serious risk and you could tell now 48 hours later he was still struggling. Guy was in a wheelchair to board the plane and can you imagine it. No choice but to walk with his stick 4km just to see the team he loves. Insane. The more bears I talk to the stories just keep getting worse.
  13. Fucks sake that's brutal 😂😂. The guy hiding under his flag, poor guy 😂
  14. Other than 2 rockets that got booted who were in my row, classy club all around. I must say, and maybe it was only where I was sitting, but they had a LOT of female supporters at the match. Was surprised. Both young and middle aged. Not sure if its a German thing or a Frankfurt thing.
  15. Sitting on Doha with 4 hour layover looking at pictures and videos I took. A took one of the scoreboard and a short video a few minutes after we scored with the bears bouncing. I swear man I am about to greet in the airport, probably the best 12 minutes in nearly 40 years of following Rangers until they equalised. I thought we were actually going to do it.
  16. Disgraceful that bears were doing that to others in that situation.
  17. Still got 20 hours flying ahead of me plus a 4 hour layover in Doha. Jealous of those back home already. Me and 2 other bears from Sydney (dad and his son) had to actually run to make our connection in Barcelona just now without boarding passes. Made it by about 5 minutes. Need a kip after that sprint 😂
  18. Not that it's any excuse for the conditions as they were criminal but this was a noticeable difference Our fans were 90% drunk or had been drinking heavily plus looked worse for wear, most of the EF fans around me looked fresh as a daisy. I know I was certainly in the former rather than the latter. Other than 2 total banger fat EF blokes who got booted out the stadium by the police for trying to start on a young bear and the old boy next to me.
  19. The kettling was ridiculous. Thank fuck I found shade for the last part, would have passed out if I was in the sun for that. Idiotic policing.
  20. Second tier neutral zone genuinely felt unsafe at times. Had some mad German bastards in my row, which was first row of the top tier and they were goading a few bears for a square go, ripped out seats the lot. Everyone hot and angry with no water, was a disaster waiting to happen. Police took them both away eventually but the tier was quite steep and could easily see someone going head first over the railing in a fight, and 20 metres to their death in that first row. Saw a Frankfurt supporter take a dive over the railing in the bottom tier in their end at their goal and the paramedics took him off on a stretcher, didn't look good. As someone else said, was third world country conditions.
  21. Hardly saw many Germans drinking from 10am in the 35 degree heat though. Maybe I was in the wrong spots to see them (likely) or maybe they are camels or maybe they were saving themselves up for the game. On the walk to the ground the fans were in fine voice but I reckon everyone hit the brick wall
