We looked for five minutes as he looked with his hand in his pocket all the time. He gave up and said, forget it, it is lost and he lifted his bag and the ball was underneath it, it was brilliant karma as he had declared it lost, superb. He walked back down the hill to play his 4th. We got in from the course and we had marked him for a 6 as he told us, turned out he had duffed one on the fairway and should have said 7. Playing the medal the day at the 4th hole the 3rd hole runs along side it opposite direction but the 4th is par 3 so I hit it right onto the 3rd fairway (blocked it) there is no trees so the folk walking up the 3rd can see us on the tee and we can see them the guy walking up picked my ball up put it in his bag then walked about 3-4 steps and got it back out his bag and threw it on the floor and was stuck behind a tree leaving me no shot. I didn't play particularly well but I had a good drink every night and was tender each morning, never bodes well for me when going to play golf. Won the longest drive so nice bottle of malt always a bonus. Was going to play tonight but weather pish here, going to go down driving range at Hamilton and hit a few.
