I hope he goes get the help he needs, people talk about doing stuff to help mental health issues, but it seems to be all talk. I know up here in Scotland, the mental health support is non-existent and suicide rates in Scotland are shocking because of it. Especially amongst young men. Often groups don't want to help people who are in a hole with payday loans, gambling etc. And they might be the people that need help the most. My pal ended up hanging himself because the debts he ran up through payday loans etc, he was on all sorts of medication, he was trying to get financial help to pay some debts back with a charity through his work, that prided themselves on helping people with mental health problems, but they told him they weren't helping him because he'd taken out payday loans and was told they couldn't help him, not even with a debt management plan or anything. He obviously made a lot of his own problems but when he did look for help, he got pills threw at him and turned away from people who claim to be the best in helping with mental health. Shocking mate. Sorry to hear that. Absolute tragedy .. financial institutions like that should be shut down. I used them in the past to try and help get medical help for a loved one when there seemed no other answer and it stuck with me for 4 years. Paying prob around 16k for a 600 quid initial loan. Luckily I ha en decent job and my aged to get myself out of the hole eventually but fuck it was hard and I can understand what u r mate went through . Most mental health issues are as a result of money, sexual abuse, gambling (possibly brought on by sexual abuse) lack of work , low self esteem due to ask of work and opportunities, vicious circle of poverty, high rents, etc. It's a fucking shame that people are drove to death and hospital by these issues and the government should overhaul the financial sector for a.
