I take it you haven't read this forum??? Some fans on here are never happy. The team have just won 4-1 away from home and some are still saying it's papering over cracks. No matter who we bring in, we are going to be inconsistent over the course of this season at the very least. There needs to be a realistic approach. The same team, with Alves and John could well have competed last weekend and it would have been deemed as progress. Yet, we were in the position where 4 defenders were missing in some shape or form. Unfortunately, our squad isn't good enough to cope with that many players absent. For goodness sake, give Pedro the backing until Christmas. If we are not at the races, then talk about changing. First and foremost, we can't afford to pay off anymore contracts. Secondly, who would come in that would improve us?

Football supporters know the risks? Grow up! I support all of protests tonight however, at what stage do you not think 'It's not safe to take my kid to a game as my bus might get panned in' There should be no intimidation of going to a football game!

In my opinion, he is a great player. Gets in peoples faces and annoys opposition players/fans. That doesnt necessarily make him a prick! Just good at his job. We are forgetting that he is a very talented footballer among his attitude. I was fortunate to have had the chance to play with him when I was younger, although he was a striker back then. As for the comments about not being in the Scotland squad, how many players do we know that are good players and all it takes is signing for the Old Firm to get them in the squad! I for one would like a player like Black at Rangers.

TBH big lee doesnt really deserve to be dropped thats why. Kevin Thomson was good against hibs but thats been his only good game in the last 10!

Give Hibs credit first half, even though we dominated they looked dangerous on the counter. Second half was a great display, really good football. IMO i feel (in any game) if Rangers dont start off at a high tempo and press the game we really struggle. It always takes a kick up the erse from Watty till we burst into action. When the likes of Thomson etc, start taking 4 or 5 touches on the ball we struggle to break down trams of Queen of the South calibre!!! Today showed one touch passing in the middle of the park with Miller coming deep and into the channels got us in behind hibs! This has to be utilsed more often.Rant over, well done lads!!!

I think Lee plays better when he is in the central role with Davis rather than Thomson. He wins the ball and lets Davis dart forward. Whereas, when Thomson plays alongside him, they both sit far too deep and there is no attacking presence. Im not saying he is a world beater and will no doubt be on the bench when we have Edu, Thomson, Mendes fully fit but he will be the one who will put the boot in tomorrow! For lacking in natural skill he will certainly make up for in passion against THEM!!!

At the very, very best, the only way Jim will be remotely close to his comments is maybe someone splitting the Old Firm in the coming years. And even at that, i think the chances are minimal.

That is a cracking signing for Hibs. Really rate what big Yogi is doing there. Better no praise him too much because we all know where his next move will be if he does a good job............

This arguement seems to pop up on the forum every so often. They are both very good players with bags of potential still. Although inconsistent at times, Rangers fans would be lying if they say they dont rate Scott Brown and wouldnt have been a great acquisition for the club. In my opinion i believe that Thommo is far better footballer but Brown has great fight about him that is needed in key matches. Heres hoping that he can win a move to the EPL away from our sights and they can both be key players for Scotland in years to come.

I think Weir is more than capable of finishing the season off as first choice centre half with Madjid! Like a couple other posts have said, it goes to show how consistent he bloody is if, albeit a costly one, we can only remember one fault. The problem on Wednesday was that Weir had to do a lot more running than he is usually required to do. Not only did he face a world class side in Holland and i know he will be up against in in the CL aswell but, at Rangers he can afford to play a yard off his man and cover Bougherra. If Weir gets caught hesistating like he did a couple times on Wed, Madjid can easily make up the ground, whereas McManus was only half fit. Even when he is fully fit Davie is probably not far behind him and thats saying something! If played in the right pairing, Davie can do a more than decent job for Rangers till the end of the season.

The recent goings on have been a total fuck up and he has certainly lost some of the respect i have for him, but the good times and good deeds far outweigh this one stupid episode in his life as a Rangers Captain. Not heard much about the game yesterday but seen some of the ratings in the paper. Stevie Smith got 6 and a 7 in the two papers i read but nobody has him in their proposed team for Easter Road. I take it he was a bit off the pace? I thought he had good potential but too stop start. Was just wondering as i haven't heard much about how he played?

To be honest this tells us nothing, we don't know if it was just the drinking antics that has caused Walter Smith to send both of them home, once again a journalist is putting 2+2 together to =5. I doubt it's going to happen but, Tottenham still owe us money on Hutton. Also if Danny Wilson is as good as we think he's going to be, why would we let him go we need a good CB. I doubt this is true! Alan had a good start to his Spurs career before injury. I for one would bite their hands off to take him back. We need to be realistic and ask the question, would he even consider coming back after watching the side we have been this season? The only ray of hope i have is, if Danny Wilson is reluctantly next out the door, it may be regarded as a swap deal if they still owe us money?

Its not "them" that we need to worry about! The only thing that will prevent us from winning the league is our inconsistancy. Concentrate on beating the "lesser" teams and the final Old Firm game will take care of itself. No doubts about that. After the cup final, the players will be up for it and nothing less than a win will be acceptable!

How can you say he is worse than Smith when he hasnt even been a No1 unless you count the cup games. The man is getting undeserved criticism before the job has even been offered to him. If you want to take the view of cup games, look at the success he has had there. I know it comes with less pressure than the SPL but everytime he has selected team he freshens it up, not the predictable team Smith puts out. My patience has just about ran out with Smith at the helm and im not sayin Mccoist is necessarily the answer but cut the boy at bit of slack christ!
