Football can't ever compared to any 'other' industry or business. Your comment is absurd Danny ! -
Rangers made £30m last season....

When this happens in a commercial industry...it's called asset stripping ! Work it out, run the place down and divest, not invest ! -
Chambers loses court case to run at the Olympics
Wienblue replied to Boab's topic in General Football & Sport
Drug cheats have no place in any sport. This is great news for the integrity of the sport in the UK. There is no place for "synthetic atheletes" who cheat their way to success at the expense of ethical atheletes or others. Chambers is a fraudster, he cheated to gain advantage - and when he got found out, he has remorse. Good riddance, clean athletes only ! otherwise, there is no sport and no fairness to those who act ethically and properly !!! Chambers will end up on the streets, where he belongs, like so many other cheating athletes - montgomery, jones and the cabale of American 100m / 200m cheats. -
Cousin looks very unfit, look at the girth on him. A sign of so much - and apathy ! He needs to work out in the gym consistently with me !

Should tops be sponsored by a beer company?
Wienblue replied to mrmytto's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
The consumption of alcohol by children will neither increase nor decrease because of the advertising of Carling or any other company on football shirts. It is absolute nonsense to remove such advertising. So, if a child was to watch past a pub / off licence en route to a match and walks past the wines and spirits aisle whilst picking up a sandwich at Asda, Ibrox - should we close such establishments. Utter nonsense and foolish and caused by others interfering needlessly in the lives of others. The "nanny state". However, the governments still reap the taxes from the brewers and other deemed unethical producers, such as tobacco companies etc;. Liberal extremists and their warped mind of political correctness. -
Walter on the game, all the different injuries, players missing
Wienblue replied to Boab's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I am all for giving people a chance, however, I and others will not be patronised by Herr Walther and his establishment to continually focus on, laud and market Millar. It is what one would expect in the communist era or a totalitarian state where we are told to concur and abide by what the rulers say. This is starting to get embarrassing and makes "the management" look foolish and as if they really know the guy is not up to the mark, yet, they want us and them to think the opposite. Everyone will be judged on results, but, least the judgement show be fair, impartial and consistent for all. I wait for all the other plays to be "talked up" as well ? -
Appreciated. Thanks Boab.

Give him a chance (KM that is)!

Always stand up for your civil rights and against discrimination. Enjoy !

He may surprise, on the positive.

Your quips are excellent. You ain't no Boab fae C/bank. Priceless gags. Just think at least his 48k salary in Uganda will be saved and I just hope it is wisely used to feed lots of children and families in that poor country.

PMSL, priceless. Once sacked, he'll end up with a junkie burd n her five weans (to different jambos and hiv's) in craigmillar !

Prior to the game, the RSA bowlers were being lauded as the best and fastest strike force in the world - Steyn and Ntini etc; ? They seem to be awful, surely they have better than that - does Percy Montgomery not play cricket ? It's England they're playing against what would they be like against good teams!

Can someone not live video stream it on justin tv ? I watched all Euro 2008 on justin tv and the quality was excellent. Given the state of the economy, help Lynne and others out..and me. We should also be doing this for all games this year.
-
How long will he last ? I say three months...any takers ? Quality signing and least the "jakeys fae tynie" may just get to find out where Uganda is and about the gorilla's in the mist!

How bitter or jealous is the likes of McLean . . .
Wienblue replied to BLUEDIGNITY's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
"...Hell hath no fury, like a 'wee man" scorned". Some bitterness in there, probably because he never ever got the job at Ibrox. However, I see nothing wrong with assessing BF's worth, after all, there is life beyond him and no one person should have a god given right to be captain or indeed, selected above others. -
Yes, enjoy it and also the scenery and geography is absolutely amazing. Quintessential small town and idyllic France, unspolit as only the French can do. Puts me in the mood to buy a property there. Refreshing and unspolit - what a country should be like.

McAvennie got the jail in IOM last night ?
Wienblue replied to BLUEDIGNITY's topic in General Football & Sport
Did ye no notice they were puntin him for the Albion Rovers joab in the sunday rhags thats how the story never appeared tae yesterday. As if a few days wid make a difference to what we already knew, that he's a fcuked up washed oot treasure hunter ! Oh why, oh why could ye no jest get arrested in du-bai ! -
No player is bigger than the team. So, the perfect opportunity for others to rise to the challenge and at least, someone be creative in midfield. This is an excellent opportunity for others to show their mettle, both in the captain's role and also in the midfield one occupied by BF. One day, we have to adjust to life without Barry and perhaps when he does return, he'll possibly realise that he is not first pick or has first say on issues - but, you also have to earn same on merit. I await with interest and whilst disappointed, it's a business after all, and time for mayt to stand up and be counted - show what you've got and ensure that if BF wants into the team in future, he also has to rise to the challenge and not rest on past efforts.

Thought provoking words Oleg and further highlights the fact that we are a broad church and whilst we often disagree - our unity is our strength for our club. Enjoy Holland and those beautiful women who always have strong opinions, so, there will be some synergy. Wish you well and keep in touch.

It will be Australia and this was considered at the time RSA were awarded the finals.

Does that mean you'll go with the majority when you see polls? I assume you won't be fladhing your y-fronts to Edwina Curry! Like that ! :harhar: Everything will be judged on results ...when I see what the yolk is like (hope you work that one out - clue...edwina?)

This undermines Scotland's victories over France. Typical French attitude, head elsewhere and obviously quite happy to be in rentrenchment. Hope Sarkozy intervenes and tells them to get a grip.

I'll only pass judgment when I see how we perform and those of our main rivals. Otherwise, adopt the "John Major' approach...let's wait and see.
