Cristiano came as a trialist in the first half of last season as an under 17 player. In that period he did well enough to be kept on till the end of the season. He scored regulary for the 17's in the second half of the season, so was given a contract. Started the season as a regular sub for the 19's, but failed to make an impact in any games he came on. He now finds himself in a bit of a limbo, out of the picture at 19's and too old for the 17's. So he has been restricted to playing in friendlies for a few months now. I don't know if his contract extends into next season.

Wasn't a particularly young team, only Ewan McNeil and Wiktorski are U17's, it was a young subs bench and we finished with 4 U17's on the pitch. Hearts had 4 U17's in their starting lineup.

Another "youth" thread from someone that wouldn't know a youth player if he walked passed him in the street. As Del says there is no "Football Factory" and this is an exceptional period with Wilson, Fleck, Ness and one or two others on the fringes. And to quote Del again " prepare to be disappointed.

It is extremely rare to be a charge for youth league games, home or away. Youth cup games sometimes have a charge as they are usually at the club's stadium.
