That's actually the point I'm getting at mate. To me, we managed those fantastic achievements despite him lasting the 90. I felt he hindered us as a team, but I can accept that maybe the stress of watching that 90 minutes made me miss something that was actually good about his performance.

Taking away the possibility that the manager, Goldson and Lundstram were talking him up to improve his confidence - can anyone offer up things that he genuinely did well last night? Be interested to hear them. I thought he was really poor, but would be happy to have my mind changed!

He didn't play yesterday but I'd be looking at Dundee's left back, Owen Beck. On loan from Liverpool, think he's 20/21? But showed up well in some of the highlights across the season, thought he was decent against us going forward in the game at Dens. Don't know if the loan is a half season or season long, but one to keep an eye on.

I think it's actually a mark of the boys character as well. He was poor at the start and the whole team was rotten as well. The sort of toxic environment can chew up a lot of young loanees. Let's hope he has more match winning performances this month.

Aye I think with how limited our options are it's going to result in him getting a new deal. As much as I think he's had a good season, at his age I don't think he's value for money.

He's done pretty well in Europe for us and in the league, I'd like to see how he does tonight, the game against the scum and in the cup final as well. He didn't really get a look in against the scum in the first game of the season. He's contributing good numbers but we need players who deliver those moments in big games like tonight, scum away and the cup final. He was poor away to Aberdeen.

Depends on cost but can't really argue with the numbers. Probably stepped up more than anyone else in the squad, (maybe) with the exception of Tav, when needed.

This 100%. Tav and Goldson often get it in the neck more than others and a lot of it justified as they obviously have a dreadful trophy record, but for me I'm looking at the midfield - especially on Sunday. Lundstram, Cifuentes, Cantwell and Lawrence (first half) were dire and weak. Too often in these games we don't take our chances or create enough clear cut opportunities. In the past it was a functional element of the Gerrard teams, rather than the creative output and I think we still suffer from that. Our midfield lacks stature, mobility, presence, grit and guile.

There was a point in the first half where he gave possession back to Aberdeen 3 times in the space of about a minute. For what he's paid, he's arguably our biggest problem.

This is what this group of players do, and it takes the pressure right off the scum as well because they know if they drop points that we'll drop points. Been that way since 2018, bar one season.
