  1. Was thinking that myself. Its strange how the two incidents are almost identical. Only difference is in one the ball is on the deck and in the other it is in the air. And Man U got a penalty from it!
  2. It was a free kick, and the most extreme punishment that should have been handed out a booking, it was not a clear goal scoring opportunity, Weir was coming across and the angle that Dargo was getting into would have taken him away from the goal, and by the time he could have gotten a shot on goal he would have had Weir and Alexander to deal with.
  3. With regards to consistency overall it was definitely a harsh decision. Other players have committed worse tackles (in general) and not even received a booking, other players have been sent of for a lot less. Yes, Walter does think it was harsh, but the laws of the game have changed and a ref has to make a decision in a short space of time and as KT came from behind the way he did, and because there was no contact with the ball the ref will have seen it as a red card with the way the law currently is. As for KT, I certainly wouldn't want him to take that aggressive part out of his game, it's a required element and to me is what is required at times in the middle of the park and separates those that could be good from those that could be great.
  4. No we don't, we have at least 11 who play week in week out!
  5. Actually thought it was quite a good article, but there is no way on this earth that any team could crush the spirit of this bunch of players.
  6. We are fortunate to have two very good goalies who can play between the sticks for us, both have their strengths and weaknesses, but if McGregor were ever to be sold I'd be happy seeing Alexander given the No 1 spot.
  7. I wonder if Smith is rich enough to buy the club? Smith has been nearing legendary status, if he wasn't there yet he certainly is now after yesterday!
  8. How the tide has turned don't get me wrong it was fantastic, but when do you expect to hear the words Weir and McCulloch did brilliant as a defensive partnerhsip!
  9. One thing was clear, the Establishment wasn't in our favour today or the other player would have been sent of for enticing KT to make that challenge! I believe it was a sending off offence, but my one issue and major gripe was the lack of consistency at times by the ref, there were incidents during that match which left me surprised that St Mirren also managed to keep 11 players on the pitch. In the end KT's and Wilson's sending off spurred the players on and showed what a class and determined act they are by getting that goal and winning the cup in normal time, and what a great goal it was.
  10. I agree with Outlaw on this one, yeah sure other clubs might be interested in him, but who is to say he will get a game for them? You're on about players wanting to play in the SPL, irrespective WE SHOULD be setting our sights higher, and as for players coming to the SPL why would Keane go to the piggery? He could have found another team in the EPL which would have taken him.
  11. He wouldn't have got ahead of Wilson that's a definite, but as you're limited with the amount of subs you're allowed with Boogie being out he might have got into the squad? I really hope Alexander does start, it would be a bit of a kick in the teeth if he was dropped for the final after playing the other rounds.
  12. Would like to see the same team that Muff stated, but have a feeling McCulloch and KT will be in the middle with Davis on the right and Novo on the left.
  13. Played it a couple of days ago, just to win the Fang individual fight, almost straight after that you have to do the same with Hope's, haven't had the chance to play the game much since, but will be this weekend for a bit. What does annoy me about these games is when you start to receive missions away from the main story line you don't have a menu telling you what mission you're on!

  15. Bougherra's fitness is becoming a worry to me. He seems to miss a number of important games for us, between international duty and injury. Bougherra has missed alot of old firm matches He has, and we haven't lost a single old firm match this season.
  16. I'd rather have Reynolds than Webster tbh. Slightly off topic, but I think Smith will be back in for Reynolds this Summer regardless. I don't to point 1, and I hope not to point 2!!!!
  17. I thought the exact same as I jotted it down, but if I ever have to write the words 'pretty, scrimmage, ensued' again I may go mad Well make sure you have some cash on you next time for a print out which can be scanned!
  18. From what Walter has been saying about him, then he has been happy with Webster's progress and performances, and seeing that this is the same manager who was severely slated at times for bringing in Weir, who paid out for some player called Cuellar (and let's be honest Cuellar wasn't exactly a big name till he came to us), and look at Bougherra's history and the knowledge people had on him until he came to us! Webster deserves a chance at least, and I won't judge him until he has been given that chance as many of our players have been slated at one time or another by ourselves and have managed to prove us wrong time and time again.
  19. Excellent read, and what a change the English language has made since those days.
  20. Don't know why either, but possibly the changes in European competitions from a straight knockout to a league format causing more games might have been a contributing factor?
  21. With regards to the article, I think as an article it is total shite, as for Miller I didn't want him for footballing reasons, couldn't give a shit that he played for them, classic example is Mo Jo, imagine if this site was in existence then? But, congrats where it is due, he has been an important player for us, and Walter has once again gotten the best out of him as he did for Scotland, agree about Fleck being an able replacement and think that if Fleck does stay here beyond the end of next season he will be the long term replacement for Miller.
  22. Bloody replays! to be honest I'm still not too worried about our fixtures.
  23. Michael Mols, shame about the injury as he never really looked the same afterwards, Prso is up there, also liked big Marv! Today I like Boogie for his character and ability and Davis purely on his ability.
