  1. Scotland is not a country? Perhaps I will declare myself Irish. Oh wait...
  2. Can I ask for an alternative way to resolve the issues currently facing our club? The previous regime didn't offer anything. They were simply wanting to satisfy Lloyds. I cannot recall them addressing any oustanding moneys owed to HMRC. Anyone have more info on this? So far, the only person willing to address this problem for our club, head on, has been Whyte. I have built my opinion of Whyte and the way this has been handled from what has been reported and what has been discussed on here. I am in no way an expert in finance...But from what I can see, there really was no other way out of this ?
  3. Sure he set up Durie's entire hattrick. Did he also not get two himself? Nutmegging the keeper with a cross from the wing (all done on purpose!)
  4. Almost every fan on here, whenever a potential transfer falls through because a player wanted more money and was getting it elsewhere, will boastfully turn around and say "Pfft, another player wanting money over medals" and yet some are accepting the "diddy cup" attitude. Bewildering
  5. I find it strange to suggest Hutton's form was thanks to himself and Smith. There are no doubts in my mind the entire coaching team had an impact with Hutton. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree with this one. "I am not saying it was but i wont rule it out either, it may have been a one up on Seltic." We are talking about Kenny McDowall, not Kenny Miller I am beginning to understand exactly what you are looking for from our coaching team and to a degree I agree with you. I also feel our set-pieces are horrible and it feels as though technical ability just does not matter in training. With regards to Wylde, could it possibly be to do with the manager? I am sat here picking my head, trying to figure out who the last player Walter Smith brought through the youth academy (9IAR period as well) who was silky and skillful on the ball. I only ever recall him purchasing established players who were skillful - I was about to suggest this could be something that changes under McCoist and was going to provide a quote from Ally himself regarding attacking Celtic in a pre-match interview. Basically he suggested it would not be fair on our forward thinking players to restrict them in doing what they know. But I cannot for the life of me find it just now and I am short on time...
  6. You make some good points SWSL, however you surely are not suggesting Hutton's turn of form is solely down to Hutton and Smith, are you? Also, there is no doubt Lafferty has grown up and matured. I am positive almost every Rangers fan would agree with this. But players do not just turn into good players from poor players just by "growing up". You clearly have a lot of respect for Walter and rightly so - I do not think anyone could have bettered what he did when he came back - but he brought Kenny to the club. Did he not realise Kenny was a "shite" coach? I notice another poster has requested for some information regarding Ian Durrant being a "shite" coach. I am sorry but I cannot help but think that statement was a lot of "shite".
  7. Had nobody thought how amazing it would be for Ally to win the treble in his first season in charge? I am gutted this is no longer a possibilty. I am even more gutted bears are arguing with one another about whether this competition matters...
  8. They didn't make Hutton a player? The season he went on fire, there were calls from fans, in August, to get him out the team. They were coaching him through that difficult time, they spoke to him, gave him advice and he became fairly solid defensively and our best attacking option within that team. Lafferty always had talent but didn't produce it. So why has he suddenly started producing it? Has he changed breakfast cereals? Lets discuss Broadfoot...Not particularly good but held his own against some good European players. Maybe it was down to the can of Redbull he had before the game.
  9. Our tactis against weaker opposition in Europe have been horrible and in my opinion they have cost us...However these same tactis were applied by the same management team against the likes of Man U at Old Trafford, Barcelona at Ibrox, Lyon at Stade de Gerland and our games on our way to Manchester. As for personal progress, have you forgotten Alan Hutton? Carlos Cuellar? Jamie Ness looks like he has a bright future. A large amount of people had Lafferty down as a useless donkey and now, he has been playing rather well recently. So well in fact, people are suggesting he will be the SPL's top goalscorer. In regards to Durrant, still...I have no idea why he is considered a "shite" coach
  10. The only thing I can take from McCoist having to calm players down is the players were being far too confident and expecting a walk in the park.
  11. I think the main problem is our midfield. We do not have enough players who will run into space, our out of position to create space. When someone takes possession of the ball in the middle of the park I want to see 3-4 players running into a position that'll allow them time on the ball. Can almost predict the run of passes sometimes when our midfield have the ball.
  12. If only he was playing against the Scum...4-0 and a Jig Hattrick!
  13. And it has cost us three cup exits. I am not happy with it and am desperately hoping our defeat to Falkirk is the final nail in the coffin for McCulloch's Rangers career. We can give Ally another chance...Or should he be sacked?
  14. Apologies... I thought this thread was for random nonsense.
  15. In total agreement with this part. But as I said in another thread, mistakes will happen with inexperience. We can only hope that he does not continue to make the same mistakes.
  16. There are no doubts last night was embarrassing. We should be destroying lower division teams with our squad, reserves or first team. However, unless it gets to the point where we continue to lose game after game, there is no point at all going over old ground. We have to move on. We have to focus on what we are still competing in.
  17. I think the message the OP is trying to get across is simply, McCulloch should never play for Rangers again. I do not see what the problem with this is? He has served us well, played in numerous positions without any moans...But there is no doubt the big man is finished. Why can we not say this about McCulloch, who has been stinking for over a season. Yet our captain, David Weir gets all sorts of abuse after a poor performance against Celtic?
  18. I am not suggesting for once that our European performances have been good. Not even acceptable. In fact, had you decided to read the entire post, you will see that I actually agree with you with regards to our European performances. I even queried whether you have any solutions to this problem but again, you fail to give me any answers I just find it strange you do not seem to have nothing good to say about Rangers. We have won the league for the last three years and according to you this is nothing to do with the way Walter Smith stabilized the ship, brought in the right type of players to challenge for the title and worked extremely hard. No, not at all...It is down to Celtic being poor. So I thought I would challenge this perception by bringing up our Uefa cup run.
  19. Haha, I am aware of negativity that is associated with his posts... Even managed to have a moan in a thread about Kyle Hutton performing well for Thistle.
  20. Strange...You almost seem upset that we managed a run against quality opposition in Europe...And no, I will not fuck off. Our failure, not only recently but the last 20 years as you say, in Europe is a problem for many fans but what do you seriously suggest we do? Would a better backroom staff or manager be able to take the likes of Steven Naismith and Kyle Lafferty to the Nou Camp and get a result?
  21. And I guess we were mildly better than the horrific European teams we disposed off on our way to Manchester... I am still not satisfied with your response regarding our management team...So I will await a factual response from SWSL.
  22. Trying to twist what I said? What a ridiculous post... We haven't been successful in the last four years because of the odd poor result against weaker opposition.
  23. To be fair, whilst almost everyone hates seeing McCulloch's name in the lineup, there were no worries, from anyone, in the match thread about not being able to see of Falkirk. McCulloch is a terrible footballer, the sooner Ally realises this, or acts on this, the sooner we'll play like we did against the scum. I am not suggesting tonights performance should be excused because the team "should have beaten Falkirk" but like all things, where there's a lack of experience, mistakes will be made. I just hope Ally learns soon that McCulloch isn't good enough. At any level!
