Keltik "international" cup, Febuary 2011
McWeedy replied to kanjo's topic in General Football & Sport
Officially it's the Carling Nations Cup. I'm looking forward to it, hopefully it'll grow to include England too. -
To the fans that bothered to show up tonight
McWeedy replied to GOAT's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
One day we'll be proper fans like you.... -
...and it has counted for fuck all!! Season was already over last year and we've matched them while scoring more goals this year. Usually a run like that in a season will win you the league but they have gained no advantage what so ever. They must be raging! If 2nd in the league, out of the Scottish cup and out of Europe is what they achieve during their best spell, I can't wait until they hit a rough patch.

***The official excuses thread***
McWeedy replied to disgruntled_bear's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
My missus was due to give birth last Thursday but still hasn't so can't really justify being too far away incase she drops. If I could get parking at Ibrox I might still be tempted so I can wizz away if required. -
17 Pages of Discussion of the RST Shananigans

You clearly did not read my post... I said "yourself or RST", two seperate entities. Anyways the point is that having another viewpoint doesn't make you a Tim. -

It is fair enough that action should be kept quiet if it is to be successful but I am still sceptical of what RST could actually do. If it's positive then good luck to you. I don't know Scotbear but I don't think it's right to insist anyone that disagrees with yourself or RST is a tim or has a hidden agenda. People have different views and come on forums like this to discuss them. -
The CEO of the company I work for earned approximately 14 million not including undisclosed share options and other benefits. While our turnover is billions and not millions I think that Bains remuneration is not unreasonable for his level.

So what does a "coordinated attack" consist of? Complaining to the media that the bank want their money back? It's a legitimate question btw, I'm not just having a pop at RST. -

Does RST have any significant power or influence for us to care? -
Yes, in this case the markup is significant but he's not going to be able to sell it at that. Especially with tickets still available. I believe that people will pay inflated prices within reason and that it's good to have the option of a ticket that you wouldn't have had previously should you desperately want to go. I've paid 70 for an old firm game before which was twice face value and was glad of the opportunity when I live too far away to justify a season ticket.
-
Am I the only one who doesn't have a problem with this? I've bought tickets at inflated prices via ebay etc and have been glad that that option has been available in the past. The tickets aren't even sold out yet so it's not as if we can't get tickets due to people like this buying them up.

If you don't know the pub be careful you go to the right one. There are two Cock Taverns in London, the other one is a tim pub. Its the one in the meat market you want.
-
Was there last May for the game and it was a cracking atmosphere. Well recommended!
-
Statistically it shows that that the form team goes on to win the majority of these fixtures. Then again, statistically, 6 out of 7 Dwarfs are not Happy Hear that joke at the Aladdin panto?
-
A captain should be responsible and lead by example...Shagger should be last on the list.

Cock tavern. But be careful theres two of them and the other is a Tim pub. Its the one at the meat market you want.
-
What's the most you have paid for a ticket?
McWeedy replied to Jonnyboyrfc's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
70 for my first old firm game on ebay -
How good is the hospitality at Ibrox?
McWeedy replied to gersfan5231's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Great idea, I was thinking of doing it for an old firm game actually to try it out as I sit in the Broomloan Front. Unfortunately you can't unless you're willing to take a 5 match package. They don't sell Old Firm hospitality on its own. -
What time do Champions League tickets
McWeedy replied to Bear_Necessities's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Any chance of particular games or will we be forced to buy the full lot? -
I'll maybe pick it up half price when we're knocked out in April.

Your hopes for this year's Champions League campaign

Do you believe in large bold text as well? Last 16 is a must for us IMO. Easiest group we could ask for, if we can't make it through that something is seriously wrong. -
It is required that we register 3 changes of strip but not that they have to be released. We could use a training top if we wanted. I remember us playing in a red top during the addias years that we didnt release, think it was against grasshoppers. However, can you honestly see such a marketing opportunity missed by Rangers? We will have a 3rd shirt, most likely white though i'd like to see something a bit different. like a limited edition topwith only so many of them released now that would be smart It would be a great idea, the red shirt we wore against grasshoppers is possibley my favourite Rangers shirt but I could never buy it.

The time you lost it most at a Rangers game

For a good moment defo Novos penalty, I jumped on my missus and wrestled her to the floor in the pub. As for pure rage, Vinegar of Castlemilks last min winner 2 seasons ago. We'd hung on with 10 men, equalised and saved a penalty. I knew a draw would win us the league and they nicked it. Couldnt speak, just went home and went straight to bed.
