  1. you noticed the pressing barcelona do when the oppsition have the ball, right at them trying to get the ball back off the opposition at the earlest possible moment, we've dont that twice this season, killie and the first half of the hearts game. every other game we back off to we get 30 yards from our goal.
  2. i respect what walter has achieved since he has come back apart from before during and the spending spree after kaunas. From being a supporter of the club i enjoyed the turnaround in reversing celtic's dominace before walter came. As a general football fan, it's pretty embarrassing to watch. The imbalance in our midfied i find is truely shocking, lacklustre and lack of imagination and guile. I don't know of any other club that would get rid of hemdani, ferguson, mendes, thomson, adam and keep mcculloch. That is a football decision not of the man, i don't hate him but he adds very little to the gers midfield. I've watch st johnstone, inverness, hamilton play us off the park. these teams are made of kids and journeymen yet made to look world class at times because of the way we back off and don't pressurise teams. We can do it, the killie game prime example. How can a club like hibs hump us 3-0 at home without even playing a recognized striker. We play to a system thats suits our captain added to that we play with no width. davis always moves inside as does naismith. Only weiss commits the opposition fullbacks along with (can't believe am saying this) lafferty when he's shunted there. Thanks walter for steadying the ship through the worst of times, but a change of direction and approach is needed in players we can attract and the way we play on the field. With falling attendances and cl league not guarantted every season, reducing the debt we have, solutions like beattie, rothen and now healy just won't do. Less money does not have to mean going backward as a club and i hope if mcoist is the next manager will be his own man with his own ideas.
  3. the size of the squad isn't the problem just underutilised. You have a core of 16 or 17 players and fringe players that can easily fit in. mcmillan, shinnie, webster, kerkar?, wylde, hutton and ness are all capable of slotting into the team quite easily.
  4. for the last few years since his euro qualifying goal blitz healy has had very little success at the various clubs, not 1 successful stint anywhere. That alone is enough to say no thanks. If he starts ahead of the current players at the club, beattie, lafferty and fleck, then they are not good enough also. I've had enough of this mediocre short sightness of the way this club is managed. I just about understand why we signed beattie, proven in england but past his best, still could do a job up here but then to do this twice and with a player of less pedigree at club level than beattie stinks of desperation. So over to you beattie, lafferty and fleck, if you can't get a game ahead of healy, you don't deserve to be at rangers either.
  5. no offence to healy as a person and a fellow blue, but for footballing reasons this signing is just a joke.
  6. big fallout between team Khan and Ariza his fitness trainer, accusations of theft and unprofessionality and being clueless.
  7. but kotelnik was robbed, clearly beat alexander
  8. if we went for healy, this would rank up there with ostenstad, but at least he had top english division pedigree.
  9. that's just a no need snidey comment.
  10. voted for none of them. Any three of these players would smack of lazy, haphazard and actually negligiable management. Were trying to come through a trouble period and should be used to try be more progressive and innovated in our approach.
  11. mculloch will drop back to cb and edu on for cm if that happens
  12. please be the left jelavic up front, weiss with a free role common lm, ness cm, davis cm, naismith rm I know it will never happen though, mculloch is untouchable.
  13. today showed lafferty while looks good in parts lacks the intelligence to play the lone stiker role. Also if we have a 5 man midfield , the two wide players, naismith and davis today have to learn to stay wide. After 20 minutes or so they started to roam inside all the time, areas that ness and edu were doing when they were controlling the whole game. It basically nullified those ness/edu into more support roles. It effected the balance and lack of options after that.
  14. although our midfield played well in the main today, the personnel in this system cut our options. You can see today the first 20 minutes ness and edu were controlling the whole game. at that point naismith and davis started to move inside into those two areas ness and edu were operating and as a result ness and edu tended to sit deeper, our options were limited and our width was non existent apart from papac today. I thought ness and edu were doing excellent, in the centre both defensively and attacking. Had naismith and davis stayed wide i thought we would have controlled the game even more. It's up to walter to sort it out, we do not need 5 players in a central area. At times they were just getting in each others road and at time ness was having to take a backseat to the more senior guys. Just my take on it.
  15. why did walter try make lee into a centre back then, because at that particular time he could not get into the midfield, while adam did.
  16. that's totally wrong, adam was getting far more games than mculloch did at that time especially at lm, mculloch was shunted everywhere to try accomodate him but just wasn't good enough at the time. Mculloch only got to be a regular when barry left. davis is nothing like adam as a player, adam is best when spraying passes, davis best work when he's on the run, making little intricate passes, looking for the return
  17. holloway on ssn there, man cracks me up everytime, 46 million for charlie adam Got a point though, but what does get us 4.55 m or 9.1 m depending on the 10 or 20% offers over 500k banded about on here
  18. it was a bizarre signing at the time anyway. It hasn't worked out so far. Even though i wasn't chuffed at the signing in the first place, not every signing will work out no matter how much you know about that particular player. Look down south and how much they blow on players that end up as failures at those particular clubs. Look at the millions squandered at liverpool especially the keane fiasco, the italian cripple who replaced alsono, sold arbeloa for 2m and replaced him with g johnson for 17m crazy stuff As long as we get the majority of signing rights and don't break the bank again with failures i'll be happy.
  19. i think tonight showed that lm is no no anymore, leave that for wylde. if your looking for support forward to unlock a defence with a pass, fleck showed that tonight and that he can for rangers. showed more in his cameo than lafferty and beattie did all night. I'm not saying he's world class or any of that piss, just that he can have a future at rangers if utilised properly.
  20. i remember him hitting the bar from that distance, can't remember the game though.
  21. big amo would have loved to score one like that, he tried to nearly every week.
  22. you forgot ronaldo, the fat one - £18 million i think it was
  23. i know he is, just thought i do a bit of fishing.
